The views don't get any better in Ft. Davis! This historic adobe lodge is nestled in the Davis Mountains State Park, and is a real gem. The staff are VERY friendly and the rooms are perfectly adequate. They aren't fancy, just a basic room with decent beds and an old TV. But who needs luxury and flat screens and fancy... More

Booked a 3 day visit to the historical lodge for a romantic getaway. If you need phone service and reliable wifi this is not your place. But if you like peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings (with a little preparation) this is a great place to stay. Rooms neat and clean, staff excellent. Would have given 5 stars except that... First, the good: Indian Lodge is a gorgeous old adobe lodge built in the 1930's by the CCC. There is also a newer portion that consists of small motel type rooms, as well as a pool and the Black Bear restaurant. The place is simply beautiful and the scenery is amazing. The room we stayed in, in the older section... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Indian Lodge. The location was wonderful and the room was very comfortable. We stayed here while traveling from Big Bend NP to Carlsbad. It was the perfect stop over. The restaurant was only fair, but that was a minor issue compared to the good things about the lodge. I would certainly return if in... More

This is a nice little hotel nestled in the Davis Mountains State Park. The rooms are rustic and nicely furnished. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. Great views of the Davis Mountains and the Park too. The Restaurant on site is very good. The offer breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices and ample portions. The Club... More

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The lodge is very quiet with a hiking trail just behind the lodge. There are various rocking chairs and benches throughout the property where you can sit, enjoy nature and the quite. The rooms are decorated nicely and are clean and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed here when we visited the McDonald Observatory. The hotel was great. Rooms are very comfortable, large and clean. Good water pressure and nice linens and towels. Very quiet and relaxing grounds. I would love to stay here again!

I have always wanted to stay at the Indian Lodge since camping in the park. The experience was fantastic. The location is breathtaking and the architecture is classic national park lodge with a pueblo influence. The interior details of the lodge lobby is spectacular showcasing exquisite details of the craftsmenship using hand tools on the woodwork. The only negatives was... More

This was our second time to stay at Indian Lodge. Each time it has been a most enjoyable experience. People there are so friendly and helpful. The accommodations and the property are some of the cleanest I've stayed. Nice amenities for a place so remote. The Black Bear restaurant is an added bonus. We didn't even have to leave the... More

Indian Lodge was built of adobe & wood by the CCC during the Great Depression (1930s). The rooms are small & simple, but the thick adobe walls, wood floors & wood furniture are attractive. The architectural design of the motel reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright. The setting is isolated & beautiful, the staff are friendly & the park has... More
