This is a very nice lodge built in the 30s by the CCC, with additional rooms added in the 60s in the original style. The location is wonderful, in the state park, although near camping sites it is very quiet. The room was spacious, nice views out the window (we were in #325), and it is lovely sitting in the...

Although renovated, this place has plenty of the original charm. Built by the CCC in the 1930s, and run by the State of Texas, I thought the place was a great value. Comfy room and bed with TV. Wi-fi is spotty at best, however.

The Indian Lodge is inside the state park in a nice location, separated from the campground. It has been totally refurbished but retains the rustic theme of the pre-existing old lodge. The rooms are excellent, large, attractive and comfortable. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms but is somewhat available in the lobby area (I couldn't get good service but...

Located inside the Davis Mountains State Park this is a very nice lodge. The rooms are very large and clean. We did not have internet reception in our room but sometimes that is ok. It's a short drive from Fort Davis and McDonald Observatory. The scenery and drive is very pretty and they have a buffet breakfast with a per...

I was expecting an old rustic lodge and was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was. It was so much better than the Chisos Mountain Lodge. It was rustic but they provided you with everything you needed and it looked like they had also made some upgrades. We were very comfortable here. We wished we had skipped the night in...

I loved the design and scenery surrounding this historic lodge built by the CCC. While the restaurant was closed while we were there, we still had a great time hiking and sitting outside enjoying the beautiful scenery. The sunrise in the morning was stunning! Rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again and...

This Texas Parks facility was originally built by the CCC (lots of historic photos in the Lodge) and has been carefully updated since. We stayed with two other couples, and all of us were very pleased. The staff is very, very helpful. Example - we asked if we could build a fire in one of the outdoor fireplaces. Staff asked...

We stayed 3 nights in one of larger rooms The room was very comfortable, the staff very helpful, and the restaurant provided ample meals at reasonable prices. The views are wonderful and the hiking trails provided spectacular views. We spent one day exploring the scenic drive around the area and visiting Mc Donald Observatory including an evening/night star party. Very...

Built by the CCC and since renovated it works. Our room was large with 2 queen beds and a coffee maker At $90 plus taxes a night a steal. We hiked in park, went to town for dinner (breakfast so-so T lodge restaurant) and the McDonald observatory was an easy drive.

A MUST place to stay while visiting the Davis Mountains. Must make advance reservations if you're going to stay a couple of days or a week because this gem stays booked. This Lodge is surrounded by the beautiful Davis Mountains.
