If you can imagine a hotel built in 1914 with no modern conveniences, then this is it. Looks just like it must have looked when it was first built, wallpaper walls included. It was air conditioned and had indoor plumbing, but that was about it. Floors sagged, no TV. The staff was very friendly but I think we will try...

Well kept historic hotel. Rooms were clean and adequate. No food available at the hotel and the coffee bar only had powdered creamer. The best thing about the place was Limpia the house cat who was friendly and adorable.

We enjoyed the hotel's location for our itinerary. The property was an easy drive to Davis Mountain State Park, Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, Alpine, and Marfa. The setting is lovely and we really enjoyed the hotel's courtyard although it is technically part of the restaurant next door. The history and historical touches of the hotel were very interesting and fun....

We were lucky. Stayed here while on tour and our "room" turned out to be a three room suite with a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, sitting room with TV, closet, and full bedroom and bath. It was in a separate building from the main hotel, and had to drag our luggage through the gravel drive to get there. The...

If you are staying here you do it for the historic hotel experience, you do not expect luxury and you will not be disappointed. We stayed in a suite to the right of the restaurant area. The building was old and in need of repairs. The walls a cracking and holes in the wall behind the tub. WIFI was good...

Three nights during spring break 2016. Limpia West is one of three separate buildings housing the Hotel Limpia. It's the second floor of a storefront building across the street from the historic hotel. Room was dated, but clean and quiet. Bed very comfortable. Service good. Overpriced, but probably not much more than would be expected of a remote tourist town...

We stayed at Limpia West. Very dated. Room was clean. Bathroom needed maintenance and updating. Linoleum was cracked and broken, and we had to use a towel to stop leak at the door from shower. After being in Fort Davis and seeing other options, would have preferred the smaller motel/b&b options in town.

Wonderful old hotel, very friendly staff. Beds and bathrooms great. Very quiet and quaint. Lots of history at the hotel and in the area. No meals at the hotel but available next door at the Bristo. Fresh food, well prepared and presented. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel without any reservations. Great place to show young people that you...

We stayed in a ground floor room in the main hotel, prior to a Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. Although the furnishings are old, the king bed was very comfortable, and the shower good. Because of a change in travel plans, we came back to Ft. Davis a week later and again stayed at the Hotel Limpia. This time...

The heater was broken and the hotel did not inform us until the 2nd night when we inquired how to work the heat. They did not offer an extra blanket. It was in the low 40's at night so we were freezing. The linens are stained and cheap. The hotel is a beautiful historic hotel but the day to day...

I apologize that you were not happy with your room. You were provided with a portable heater with adequate capacity to heat the room (in your room at the time of check in). Our staff should have informed you that the central heat was awaiting a part. There are extra blankets in every room of the hotel as well as...
