I always stay here when I visit Fells Point and the Inner Harbor. It is located by the water and it is walkable to many restaurants and shops. There is a parking garage around the corner which is not expensive.

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Be aware that there was a sheet that we had to sign agreeing to an additional $9.95 Guest Service Fee. We were given a little slip of paper detailing what that fee included. Talk to a receptionist if you
have questions about it. We stayed in room 313 which overlooked the street. We could hear the activity on the street below through the old wood encased windows that didn’t completely shut all the way. However we were able to sleep just fine. We knew that this might happen when we made this reservation since it was in an old building in a historic place. Also, know that the bright sun peaks in a little every morning despite the heavy curtains. There was a night stand on each side of the bed with a lamp on each stand. The outlet was on the wall beyond both night stands. There was a lamp with 2 outlets on the small writing desk in the room across from the bed. There were several shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. The shower had a curtain that swung out so that the liner didn’t cling to my legs. The shower did not have much pressure to it but it did drain nicely. Our reservation did not include the breakfast buffet. An additional $10 would be charged if we decided to eat here. We browsed the buffet and decided that we were not interested. There were several bakeries close to the hotel that smelled wonderful when we walked out. Shout out to the housekeepers for keeping the bottles of lotion and shower gel generously stocked and especially the bottle water every day!

If you want to be right in the midst of the vibrant waterfront and restaurants at Fell's Point, then the location of the hotel is excellent. The lobby of the hotel was reminiscent of a historical museum and the restaurant in the basement (which we viewed but was closed) seemed to be quite replete with history. However, I cannot recommend the room other than the firm and clean looking bed. I thought the bathroom sink also seemed brand new and reminded me of an antique piece. The bad news is that the room needs an overhaul: cracked window (although hidden by a curtain), one door to the TV stand needed to be propped open by a paper bag just to stay open, stained bath, wrinkled shower curtains, mold in the bathtub wall, broken toilet lid and shaky toilet holder, no cups for the coffee maker and old looking arm chair upholstery just does not warrant the cost of the room nor provides a pampered experience. I will say the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. I was able to have early check in and got a 1/2 hour late check out with no problem.

Have stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn 4 times (2021, 2019, 2018 and 2010) and won’t be back. This last stay, March 2021, was awful! Attached photos of room 316 bathroom show mouse droppings & dirt in bathroom closet + filth on walls around sink (because water pressure in sink faucets is way too high & causes terrible splash) + filth & debris behind bathroom door and behind toilet + dust on room door. Pictures can’t show this, but the cheap laminate flooring was so sticky that everywhere you walked in the room, your shoes made a sticky sound with every step and you never wanted to walk in the room in stocking feet or barefoot. When I complained, hotel manager moved us to Room #389, which was an improvement over room 316...with exception of previous guests’ dirty towels left hanging on hook on back of bathroom door (!!) In my opinion, the housekeeping staff lack attention to detail (sorely). The Admiral Fell Inn would be much improved with a major deep cleaning everywhere (lobby, elevators/hallways & rooms) followed by consistent wipe-down of baseboards, walls around sinks, and corners of the floor, between guests.

I booked the bi-level fireplace suite for a special occasion. It was booked on the Choice Hotels brand website. I added the valet parking and breakfast when it was booked. The hotel emailed me the next day and told me due to covid no valet or hot breakfast. So I corresponded several times with John regarding this, where to park, and my room type. I was looking forward to my stay. Made dinner reservation within walking distance. When I arrived there was nowhere to park and had to walk several blocks away. When I entered the lobby it was so hot it smacked you in the face. The front desk told me my room type was out of order and they changed me to a balcony room. Very disappointed. It just got hotter on the way to the room #417. The room was so small and filthy. It had to be 85 degrees in there. They obviously know the problems with the hvac the thermostat was off and there was a tower floor fan in there next to the balcony door. The toilet was dirty, the tub was gross, the sheets had stains, dust on the chair legs, cigarette butts all over the balcony with broken furniture. Being a travel agent and we'll traveled this was the worst experience I've ever had. I didn't stay there and left to go home. Canceled the dinner reservations as well. Not good especially with covid this hotel needs to reevaluate their cleaning procedures and hvac system.

We just stayed 2 nights at the Admiral Fell Inn and the physical condition of the room, but especially the bathroom was sad. The bed(s) were very good to sleep on/comfortable and the floor was clean and wall art was fine and seating in the room was good, but most furniture and lamps have seen better days. The bathroom was like a 3rd rate hotel. Probably needs to be gutted and totally redone. You would be unable to make the tub for a bath to be functional. The shower did work, but the water temperature was always changing. What is extra nice is the lobby area with couches and other comfortable seating to spend time in. The people who man the front desk, both day and evening are super friendly and helpful and could not have been nicer. Unfortunately it is going to take a great deal of money to renovate this hotel, but the location is really great..close to good restaurants and right next to the inner harbor and very walkable. At night it is noisy with the night-life right outside the door. That is fun if you are out enjoying it all, but difficult when you want to go to sleep later. Parking is difficult for older people...there is a pay garage 2-3 blocks away and all street parking from early afternoon through the night is very, very difficult to find a spot. I would not stay there again unless the money is spent on renovating the place.

This is a Days Inn type of hotel at Hyatt Regency prices. The location is right in the middle of all the action, which presents a problem when trying to sleep at night. If you are one to party past 2 am then this is the hotel for you as the street noise will be there for you if not in one of the inner rooms. I requested another room after we didn't have hot water or get the TV to work. Wifi is so poor that you won't be able to stream anything in your rooms or video chat. We were initially told the new room would be ready by 1 pm. It was not. It was ready by 5 pm only to find out the keys did not work. Front desk person came up and noticed that housekeeping had not done something to make the keys work so she appeared to fix it only to find out we were now locked in our room. She came up again to let us out of the room then transitioned us to yet another room that finally worked. So we went from room 219 to room 322 to room 222 and the one thing that is consistent is dirty towels and linens, lousy wifi, and some rooms may or may not have a coffee maker. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. I believe that is what is happening with the restaurant and bar although I saw no sign of activity during my two day stay. Never again! You were warned!

My husband and I met at the AFI at a New Years Eve party and we were married there 5 years later, so it holds a nostalgic place in our hearts. We decided to stay there again for our 7 year anniversary this past weekend. It was a disaster from the moment we got there. I had reserved the honeymoon suite months in advance. We opened the door to our room and quickly realized something was wrong. When I talked to the front desk, she said our reservation had a note to move us to a different room because the honeymoon suite was leaking and closed for maintenance. Although someone should have reached out to me in advance, I was willing to look past this mishap. We go back to the room to relax and it was filthy. Crumbs on the chair that I could see from across the room, lid from disposable baking dish above the TV, and an empty Budweiser case, trash bag, and broom on balcony. At this point it was frustrating. We're in the middle of COVID where everyone is taking extra precautions to be clean, and this room was clearly dirty. Not to mention, the balcony was essentially unusable as water was pooled everywhere. This is supposed to be one of the rooms highlights and we couldn't even use it.

We went down to the front desk again - she understood the issue and offered to have the room cleaned immediately. We took her up on her offer and went for a walk. When we got back to the room, the crumbs were still there (luckily large trash was removed) and they clearly sprayed Lysol (visible film on the floor, which also made it slippery)...but the room was not "cleaned".

This was extremely disappointing as we had so many fond memories of AFI. A lot has clearly changed in 7 years.

My family stayed for one night (two rooms) at this hotel, and we will not be returning. The floor was sticky, the curtains were missing on one window and falling off the rod on the other window, there were stains on the lampshades, holes and missing paint on the walls, no filter holder in the coffee maker, and in the bathroom the floor tiles were cracked along with stains in the toilet, sink, and bathtub. We chose not to use the shower or bath. I also found out that I was charged a $9.95 "service fee" for each room above the cost of the room rate. We did not use the internet or receive any services during our brief stay. That last charge felt like salt in the wounds after a disappointing stay at this property.

We booked this hotel through Delta with plans to be walking distance from family in Fells Point. We were assigned room 313--right across from the noisiest bar on the waterfront strip. The AC was nonfunctional requiring us to prop the window open with a shoe. The room's curtains had torn sheers. The throw rug had not been vacuumed. The bathroom sink barely drained. Dried silverfish skeleton in the chipped porcelain tub. The furniture was old and water-stained as if had been acquired from a Goodwill closeout sale. The noise from the bar scene didn't stop till 2 AM. Then it was the bar crowd in the street till 3 AM. As we had booked this from a third party the reservation was nonrefundable. Finally the 5th night and final night we demanded a quieter room not facing Fleet or Broadway. They gave us a room facing the alley street. Much quieter. We accepted the room only after the engineer would fix the broken hot water faucet handle. The grap and go 'breakfast' consisted of OJ and a granola bar or manufactured muffin. Only choose this venue if you plan to be part of the bar scene. You will come back drunk enough not to care the other details.
