The concierge and front desk staff went out of their way to make our trip memorable! They made wonderful recommendations from dinner to shopping to tours. The friendly staff and nice guest rooms make this a new hotel favorite. I will be staying here anytime I visit Savannah.

The staff was wonderful. The valet service was superb. I stayed at this hotel for an extended period of time , and the valet staff doubled...

The only positive about this hotel is the location and if you are traveling with pets...they are pet-friendly. After we got checked in to our room, dogs barking and barking for hours even after a call to the front desk. Air conditioner so loud you couldn't sleep...sound like a train...sink was clogged. Ate breakfast in restaurant, only 3 people there...now,...

I have been trying to visit Savannah for years now. I finally decided to head that way the day after Thanksgiving ! When we arrived we noticed that the hotel was located right in the middle of everything. Once we parked, our car didn't move the whole weekend. I was greeted as a Spire Elite member right away. My room...

What an amazing place within walking distance to everything in the River street area! David and Jasmine were great!!! Everyone, including the valet staff, were knowledgeable of the area and had great recommendations of where to go. The rooms were clean and and quiet and very relaxing. Will definitely stay again!

I love the location of this hotel. I was able to walk to the shops and restaurants I like from this location. Having a Starbucks within one block was a plus for that morning coffee run. I loved the ambiance of this hotel. It is not exactly luxury hotel, but it has just the right note of upscale without being...

Ideal location in the Savannah historic district. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Parking/valet service, while pricey, was efficient and responsive. Pets seem to be sincerely welcome at this hotel. Also important for pet-owners is the fact that there is a park directly across the street from the hotel. My only criticism is that restaurant service for breakfast was very slow/appeared...

We arrived at the Hyatt across the way, only to find they did NOT have our reservation. Great News - they referred us to The Indigo nearby! The Indigo is a great hotel. Charming old building with all the latest modern conveniences. Super clean, super staff. Aveda products in the bath, too! Walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
