The Andaz Savannah hotel garners praise for its prime location and eclectic atmosphere, with guests enjoying the convenience of nearby attractions and the hotel's charming vibe. Although the rooms receive appreciation for their cleanliness and spaciousness, some guests express concerns over maintenance and limited views.
The hotel's amenities, including the complimentary offerings and friendly staff, are generally well regarded, yet the value is questioned due to extra fees such as those for valet parking and pets. Service is highlighted as attentive, despite occasional inconsistencies.

Just came back from a 3 night stay at the Andaz Savannah and could not recommend it more.
My husband and I booked the hotel using our Amex Platinum to lean into our $200 Fine Hotels annual credit. We made a note that we were celebrating our anniversary.
Due to a very delayed flight, we did not check in until about 2 am and the valet attendant was able to unlock the main door for us to get into the building. With the Amex Platinum, one of the perks is that you get a free room upgrade when available. We booked the Andaz Loft but were pleasantly surprised to find we were upgraded to the Andaz Suite (room 222). The suite was quite spacious and had a beautiful view of Ellis Square. We were only one floor up so there was a little bit of noise at night with people coming and going from the bars but nothing that kept us awake. The blackout curtains in the room are a very nice touch! They also left us a box of chocolates acknowledging celebrating our anniversary - quite the kind gesture!
We ate a 22Square on Friday morning since we received a $60 breakfast credit with the Amex Platinum and the food was delicious. Our waitress Glynnis was the epitome of southern hospitality and regularly checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
Overall, would absolutely recommend the Andaz to anyone coming to Savannah. Everyone we encountered working there had a smile on their face and the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city.

Wonderful location to the entire historic district being 2 blocks from the river front being back a bit off of Bay street mitigated the traffic noise (which can ne very loud with construction trucks, etc). The staff (Patrick) was very accommodating in advance of arrival to requests for an interior quiet room , extra pillows and a floor fan. All of the staff was friendly throughout our stay. We appreciated the complimentary soft drinks, water and potato chips. It was raining and we were offered umbrellas in the lobby .

Despite being an Andaz fan and trying to hit them all up, I was a bit torn between this one and the new Thompson. Ultimately, I went with the Andaz for it's central location right on an historic square and an easy walk to the ferry to get to the convention center just across the river.
Pros: As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a standard suite on the 6th floor that consisted of a bar/dining area, living room, and separate bedroom. The suite and bathroom were particularly spacious, although it certainly was showing its wear and tear. I appreciated the local complimentary treats-- this one being among the better ones at an Andaz. The happy hour complimentary offerings were quite nice at the bar and it became a lively social space for other guests. The service was attentive and warm with the associates even dressing up in costume for Halloween.
Cons: The suite faced the parking garage next door so didn't have a view and kept the room a bit dim due to lack of natural light coming through. Breakfast wasn't memorable and wished it had more local southern influence. It was hot and humid (I'm sure as is the usual) but the pool didn't look very inviting as it was quite small.
Overall, this Andaz served it's purpose well as a base during a business trip at the convention center. Its prime location made it easily accessible to the best restaurants around the city as well as other attractions. The city is easy to walk around or catch the free street car. While it's not comparable to Andaz resorts, it's one of the better Andaz city properties that does an excellent job of incorporating the local charm and culture. I would probably try out the new Thompson next time as I'm sure it'll be more developed around that area by then.

This hotel is an average hotel. We were expecting a higher end experience, especially with the added “resort fee.” The check in/lobby and bar area are in one congested area. The room was relatively small and in need of a refresh on carpet, paint, bathroom floors and shower tile. First time booking at a Hyatt Andaz, probably will not seek out this brand for future stays.

Sam, Kaitlyn, Carson and Acacia all made our quick getaway for our anniversary a wonderful experience! They treated us to a small bottle of champagne in our room to help us celebrate and we were given an hour later check out as World of Hyatt members. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect. The separate bedroom and small balcony made us feel like we were in an apartment, not just a hotel room. The suite does not offer the entertaining kitchen, like you will find in the deluxe suite, but the mini fridge alone suited our needs for this trip. There is a Keruig machine in the room for that first started cup of the morning and complimentary non alcoholic drinks in the mini fridge. When our dinner plans changed and we ended up staying in the hotel for the night, the restaurant was terrific! We had the fried green tomato appetizer, the beet and goat cheese salad and a burger. Everything was delicious. Carson and Acacia behind the bar were so welcoming and we really enjoyed their top notch service and conversation. The Andaz is in a great location for exploring Savannah and we can not say enough good things about this hotel and the staff. We are locals living on Tybee Island and whenever we plan a "staycation" in Savannah this is our go to spot!

First trip to Savannah in 20 years and didn't remember much about the layout. Andaz is in a perfect location just steps away from a multitude of restaurants, shops and bars. It's a block away from the Riverwalk and about a 5 minute walk to all the great the historical areas. Upon arrival, I used the valet parking, which was very convenient. Notify the valet as you're leaving your room and your vehicle is ready when you reach the lobby. The lobby area consists of a small front desk, concierge stand, bar and restaurant. I booked a ghost tour before we arrived, but the onsite concierge has discounted access to all the area tours, etc. We purchased a historical trolley tour through concierge and saved $3 per ticket. The bar and restaurant were perfectly cozy for breakfast and an afternoon/evening drink. We did room service for breakfast one morning, which was nice (and needed) after a late night ghost tour. The fitness center (with a large set of dumbbells) and an outdoor pool are located on the 2nd floor. In April, the pool area doesn't get much sun, but there are several table/chair sets and lounge chairs to sit and have a drink. The sleeping room was very clean, modern and spacious. I really liked the layout, which included a small sofa and a small table/2 chairs, bar area with a good amount of counter space to put stuff. Complimentary drinks were provided in an in-room refrigerator. Despite the construction that is going on throughout the City, the noise was not a concern in the sleeping room. One reviewer mentioned the air-conditioning unit was a little noisy as it turned on and off. I brought a small "white noise" machine that eliminated sound from the A/C unit cycling on and off. Lastly, a $10 Lyft will get you to some great restaurants that are not quite walkable. We took a Lyft to La Scalla Ristorante one night and it was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed our experience at Andaz and would return to this property again.

Pros: extremely friendly and accommodating staff all around. Suite was a great size and very comfortable with lots of attention to detail. Your stay includes in room snacks, juices, waters, and sodas, all included which was nice. Daily wine and beer tasting with appetizer and s’mores kits for the fire pit, all included. I requested a fridge for medications since the mini bar fridge wasn’t cold enough, and it was sent up within minutes and with a smile. The location is very convenient as we were able to walk to most places we visited. Very close to River front area with shops and restaurants. Public parking garage right next to hotel gives you parking flexibility as it is less expensive than valet which is also available. Pet friendly (fee per stay) and very accommodating to pets as well.
Con: only one and is the reason for four stars instead of 5. The square directly in front of the hotel was filled with homeless people. This was very sad as we saw lots of homeless around the city but it seems this square was popular for many to stay here. The people there were actually courteous and really don’t bother the guests but my husband didn’t feel safe having my son and I walk our dog alone early in the morning and late at night so he would often go for us. Walking to nearby restaurants at night was a little worrisome as well for this reason. It seems to be more of a city problem than hotel problem but worth mentioning.
Overall a wonderful stay and beautiful hotel.

The hotel itself is great. Location is middle of everything so you can walk down the river walk or up to Leopold’s ice cream within 10 minutes. Room is clean but a little small. Free water and sodas. From previous reviews, one of the elevators was still out of service. Luckily our room was on the 2nd floor so we mostly took the stair. There is a public parking garage next door that costs $2/hour or $24/day during weekdays. It’s $10 flat rate Friday to Sunday so a lot cheaper than valet which is $49 per night plus tax. The only down side is you can’t go in and out of the parking lot so just plan to park your car there and walk around the historic area.

The Andaz is an interesting place! Really odd in some ways and really wonderful in others.
What's wonderful: the hospitality extras. Free water, soda, juice and snacks in the fridge, marshmallows to roast, etc. These little touches felt like the opposite of the typical nickel and diming you get from other hotels. The staff was calm, casual, friendly and eager to make everything easy. The location could not have been more perfect - down the street from both the market and the River Walk.
What's odd: A lot, acutally. But not in a bad way - just in an ANDAZ way. For example, the lobby has a low ceiling and felt more like a waiting station than a lobby. The rooms are both updated/nice and slightly worn at the same time. Hard to explain, but you see it/feel it when you're there. The showers don't have doors, so instead of having the whole rectangle of a shower, half the wall is just not there and you have to squish yourself in the corner under the faucet. The showers also felt very cheap and pre-fab. Parking: Don't count on it. You can either spend your life savings on their valet service (currently $50/day) or you can spend half your life savings on the public parking garage below ($25/day) - which actually gets full and may not have space for you if you leave and return.
All in all, I would stay here again. Mostly for the location and the hospitality and the general aesthetic. It didn't blow me away - and it didn't disappoint. And that's the 4 stars instead of 5.

I stayed at the Andaz Savannah my second time and couldn't be happier. During the labor shortages of Covid it is hard to find places that have staff who do not seem fatigued and who hate their jobs. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful.
Checkin and parking: Checkin was at 4pm and you can pull up to the loading zone outside the entrance. The bellhops are promptly there to assist you and will help your bring bags (don't forget to tip). Valet parking has significantly increased in price to $37/day since my last stay. There is a public parking deck on the same block that is $16/day but is often full. You can also get a visitor pass from the city and park on the street overnight but it is even hard to find street parking on a weekday given how busy the city is with tourists! Given the location is walking distance to most sites, we were lucky to find public parking space and not even need our car for 2 whole days. With that said be prepared to have few options besides valet parking.. You are given a complimentary welcome drink of champagne or beer.
Pet Policy We brought our two corgis who were welcomed with open arms with lots of pets and complimentary treats from a local bakery. This is one of the few hotels I could find that did not require you to crate your dog in the room if they are left unattended. 2 dogs are allowed with a combined weight of under 75 lbs. Of course they did not weigh our dogs so I think this policy is just to prevent large breeds such as Great Danes/ St Bernards/ etc. You can get cleaning service if your dog stays with you but you need to schedule it the day before and have the pets out of the room or crated.
Amenities A comfortable bed is extremely important to my hotel stays which is why I love coming here. The mattresses are perfectly firm with a nice pillow top. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotel beds but love their beds here. Pool is open from 10am - 10 pm. Standard rooms have either shower or bath tub but I wanted to be guaranteed a tub so we stayed in a suite that had a soaking tub and walk in shower. Everything was very clean and nice. Since we did not get room cleaning each day you can call the staff anytime for more towels/pillows/toiletries/etc. I believe the restaurant and bar are open until 10pm. Room service was discontinued because of covid, which I thought was silly. It does not really make a difference if you go downstairs and pickup food vs someone bringing it to your door.. That was my only complaint during the stay and it was a very minor one. The food was nothing to write home about and there are amazing restaurants a block away but we really did not want to step out during a tropical storm.
Overall, the Andaz is comfortable, has the best staff, and is in a prime location close to all the good restaurants and sites. It is definitely my spot whenever coming into Savannah!

All I can say is "LOL". I'm really not sure what that fee is all about other than more revenue for the city or for the hotel? I got a couple of bottles of water at check in - that's about it.
