This hotel was a big waste of money. We were supposed to stay last year, but due to COVID, plans were cancelled. There was no refund, so we made the trip this year so we wouldn't lose our money. This is an easy commute to Savannah, downtown, 3.5 miles, and that is the only good thing about this hotel. We had 2 rooms at check in, and this seemed to be very confusing for the staff, who was indifferent and seemed to be incapable of smiling or sharing any pleasantries. The rooms were ok, not the cleanest, but ok. We were there for 4 nights and after the third night they finally came in and got the trash, gave us fresh towels and made the beds - that was the only time. The rest of the time we were asking for things in the hall from the housekeeping staff - coffee, towels, etc. The housekeeping staff was nice, they were the only ones. The second and third day, after being out all day, we came back to find all of our keys deactivated - had to go back down and get that fixed, no apologies either time. The walls are paper thin, we were sitting, watching TV and could hear the vibrations from notifications from the persons phone next door! Needless to say these people also didn't get in until after 1 and kept us awake. In the other room, sleep was also lost from a hallway serenade at 3:30 am. The breakfast was cereal, coffee, cups of prepackaged fruit and the waffle maker is operational, so that was nice. When we checked out, there was no greeting, no "how was your stay", just a lady rolling her eyes at other guests entering the lobby. We also witnessed a couple being kicked out of a room due to a mistake, they had a confirmation number and seemed to be being screwed into paying more to be rebooked. Another family got up to the floor to check into their room and it was someone else's room - dirty with the people's belongings still inside. The owners of this hotel need to really examine their customer service standards.…
Ruth is very attentive, and helped to save me more money a night. All around good person! If you come here ask for Ruth, she will do her very best for you. Great rates, very clean, get what you pay for.
The front desk clerks Ruth and Ann were both very nice and both very patient . Hotel was very clean. The beds are very comfortable. I loved that the Hotel is smoke free, because my mother has asthma and it smells so fresh and clean without the smoke.
