This is a fantastic hotel! We could not have been happier with the location, and amenities. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a kitchen in it. The free breakfast every morning included hot food items such as mini omelettes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. There were also muffins, bagels, cereal, and fruit. Every time we returned to the hotel, we were greeted with a "Welcome home" from the staff member at the desk. One employee stood out during our stay, Nikki. She was very helpful and friendly. As for parking, if you feel like walking two small city blocks, to Drayton Street, the city garage is an affordable option (the garage behind the hotel is privately owned and more expensive). Monday overnight from 5pm to 5 am was only $6.00. Also, the street to the rear of the hotel, (East Bryan St) worked well as we arrived on a Saturday night, and parked on the street for free from Saturday until Sunday night when we had to use the car. Street parking is free on Saturday and Sunday but be aware of the street sweeping schedule. This street is Friday overnight. As for location, you cross East Bay Street and are on River Street where there are shops and restaurants. It is also a short walk south to more restaurants and stores. Very pleased with our stay and would return.

The Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District is a great location on the east end of Bay Street right across from historic waterfront. That part of Savannah is very walkable and there are lots of nice restaurants are within an easy walking distance. We had a room facing the street - insulation is so good you don’t even hear the traffic outside. Staff are very helpful. Parking was only $10. There’s a small lot behind the hotel and then a large public deck the next block over. There’s a pull off by the door on Lincoln Street for loading and unloading and checking in There’s a pull off by the door on Lincoln Street for loading and unloading and checking in. We’ve been here twice and haven’t been disappointed. The rooms have microwave, glass cooktop, refrigerator and dishwasher. Beds linens and pillows were comfortable. We slept well.

Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District Hotel:
I’d love to give this hotel 5 stars because it’s close, however there are just a few little things that take a star from the rating. Let’s start with the staff, they are amazing, from the front desk to the breakfast server. The location is prime for walking the river area, as well as nearby sites. There are areas of the hotel that show wear and tear even though it’s been remodeled on the inside. The biggest issue is the slamming of doors. I could hear and feel the doors slamming in my room by other guests. My headboard bounced many times when someone else slammed their door. The onsite parking is a plus, the Mon--Wednesday social hour with apps and drinks is a nice touch, the daily breakfast varies from omelets/potatoes/bacon and sausage to biscuits and gravy. I was able to do laundry mid trip which was also a benefit, as was the kitchen area in the room. The main issue I have with the hotel is the staff stole 3 mini Pepsi's from me. How silly is that…the downside is the lack of trust in the staff now. Overall, after looking at some of the other comparable priced hotels on the outskirts of the historical area, this one was the nicest, safest location, away from bus stops/vagrants, in that price range, however I would not pay a premium to stay here.

Thank you so much for the review! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We agree that our location is amazing and so easy to access our beautiful city! I wish while you were on property that you would have let one of our managers or me know about the missing soft drinks. We would have definitely made it right by offering you something refreshing from our pantry. I'm also sorry to hear that you could hear other guests slamming their doors. We understand the importance of getting rest and relaxation when you can. I will be sharing your review with our staff so we can continue to improve! Thanks so much again for staying with us and we hope you will again in the near future!

This is our third time staying here while visiting Savannah. The hotel is situated on Bay Street, one block from River Street and the Savannah River. The location makes it the perfect place to walk to anywhere in the Historic District. The hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly, greeting you every time you enter or exit the lobby, or while in passing in the hallways. This is our third visit during Covid, and the rooms are very clean, and the hotel is following CDC precautions/protocols with masks, social distancing, and sanitizing public areas and rooms. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot), and all the equipment needed to cook a full meal for those looking to save on eating out or there for an extended stay. We’ve had both exterior and interior view rooms, and slept well in both on the comfortable beds, and soft pillows and duvets. This is also our third visit during Covid, and the breakfast buffet is not operating back up to normal, but now they have staff members serving premade omelets, bacon, and sausage, along with the muffins, patties, juices, and coffee. The location, amenities, and service offered can’t be beat for the price. Most notably is that the hotel has the cheapest parking in the area at $10.00 a night. The parking lot holds around 20 cars, but once it’s full, you can park at the garage next door for the same rate. This will be our go to location in Savannah for the foreseeable future

I and a group of 15 stayed in the Staybridge historic district between Jan 14th-Jan 17. for those of you who have never been to Savannah, GA this place is an actual gem, and to have the opportunity to stay in a hotel for a good price that's walking distance from all the bars is GOLD. the check-in process took no more than 5 minutes, parking was also convenient seeing as how it's right outside on the ground floor of the hotel. Tina, Ashanay, Nia & Kysha were the best easiest deck clerks I have ever met super friendly and very accommodating. it was so good that they tried to get our whole group on the same floor. walking into my room beds were perfectly made, A/C already on and the water pressure is on POINT!. Needless to say, the staff of Staybridge Historic District in Savannah made me and my friends feel like family and thats rare to find. I look forward to coming back again

We were in town for a family wedding. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to River Street. Such a great location.

The staff...where to start. The front desk clerks (May 19-22) were exceptional. I had to call a time or two in the week before our stay and everything was as requested. No matter what questions we had, they had the answers. SO friendly and accommodating.

The lobby is very welcoming, with a bar and a social on some weekdays. There are board games in the lobby too!

Rooms have a FULL kitchen and were very clean (note: no daily housekeeping, but if you need anything you can stop by the desk...i.e. towels, etc). Hallway carpet (4th floor) could use some cleaning but nothing that affected us. Honestly, our family had three separate rooms and we all said the beds were the most comfortable we've slept in.

There is a hot breakfast that was nicely organized and the lady in charge made sure everyone used the hand sanitized before entering the food area (yay!).

While you don't need a car to get around, if you have one, the paid parking is for the lot directly behind the hotel with overflow in the garage behind that lot.

Great experience - we will visit again and plan to stay here!

In normal times, cleanliness and hygiene in a hotel is essential.
During a pandemic, cleaning is a matter of health.
Bathrooms with hair from previous guests on all sides. Toilet that had clearly been used “after being cleaned”.
The bathtub was even slippery, obviously for lack of a good cleaning with an anti-bacterial quality product.
The tables that were available for breakfast were sticky and oily, showing how dirty they were. For 3 days I didn't see a single person cleaning these tables other than the guests themselves with their own antibacterial wipes.
A breakfast with very few options and if you wanted to get a juice, wake up early, because after 8:30am there is almost no replenishment.
I felt upset to see a parent with their two children cleaning the floor when one of them dropped his glass of milk. Other guests and mobilized to help because there was no cleaning staff that could do. The embarrassment of that family was clear, as there was not even a paper towel available for the guests to do a good cleaning.
If you decide to stay here, ask for a room that has the most modern fridge, even if you won't need it, because if you stay in one of the rooms that keep the older fridges, you'll need medicine or drinks to sleep because the The noise of the refrigerator engine plus the noise of the air conditioner will turn your night into a terrible nightmare.
Unfortunately this was our experience after 16 months without making a trip.

Best bed I’ve slept on in a hotel in this price range ever.

Room was clean. Some small fit and finish issues with the room, mainly the bathroom door wouldn’t latch shut and in general that bathroom was tiny. But this was mainly for a comfy, bug and noise free place to sleep at night while we were tourists during the day and it worked out. The location was fairly convenient for walking along River street and not too far from trolley stops.

Lobby was undergoing renovation while we were there but we didn’t hear any noise while we were in our rooms in the morning/evening, though it made for a noisy checkout. Breakfast area was fine given the renovations but we opted to skip it.

My guy and I stayed at Staybridge in January. This hotel is in the middle of the historic district of Savannah. We were able to walk and see the sites. The hotel itself was very comfortable. Free continental breakfast was very good. No complaints. I would gladly stay here again. Super saver tip: parking at the hotel is $20 a day, the parking garage right next door is $10 a day.

Stayed here this week and had a very unpleasant experience with the front desk. We requested a room with a king bed, and when we checked in, they said the only room available had two doubles. We were told they would try to get us a king bed for the next day, but never heard from them.

The rooms had no signs of being sanitized; the carpet under bed wasn’t vacuumed with kids toys and a cookie sitting there collecting dust.

There was a full size fridge, but the ice maker inside drops the ice every hour with a loud clang, and then a few minutes later, a loud pulsating sound of water to fill the ice tray, those noises were so disturbing.

The bathroom has hardly any space to put your toiletries, just a round ceramic sink.

The TV had HD channels with a good assortment.

The windows had nice wooden shutters.

For the coffee maker in the room, they left one coffee bag, and it was only decaf, and no sugar or creamer to be found.

For breakfast, we went down at 8:45am and the front desk tells us that they stop giving the breakfast out at 8:30am. It's a bagged lunch, they had no extras left? Why couldn't she prepare a couple of new bags? Is that too much to ask? And who ends breakfast at 8:30am?...these employees are unreal!

Stay away folks.

Hello MarkNiagarar,m Thank you so much for sharing your experience with our hotel. Our place is your home away from home where you find ease and comfort. It is saddening to know that this was not met during your stay, due to issues with the upkeep of the room, noise issues coming from the in-room freezer and for receiving a subpar level of service. I am sorry for the letdown. The circumstances you have mentioned are not what I want you to experience with our property. Our hotel is committed to providing our guests with the highest quality facilities. Sorry that we fell below your expectations this time. Your feedback is very important and I will share the details with the hotel staff so we can make necessary changes to improve our facility. Your feedback will definitely help us towards bettering our services and we hope to host you again soon. Best, Ronald R. Case Manager IHGService
