Perfect location for sightseeing, eating and shopping. Rooms are immaculate, nicely furnished with comfortable beds. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Full breakfasts more than adequate. Deserves the high ratings and would stay here again.
This was our 3rd trip to Savannah but our first stay at this hotel. I can say that we’ll never stay at another hotel in Savannah after staying here. The main reason is the location. You’re right in the middle of everything there is to do. If you’re planning on shopping this is a great location to just stop by and drop off bags. The Olde Pink House restaurant is right behind the hotel. Also there’s a public parking garage right behind the hotel. It’s literally about 50 feet from the door and only cost us $33 for 4 day’s parking. No need to pay for the expensive valet. River street is directly across the street. Definitely worth the extra money for the location. Visit Savannah Smiles Piano Bar if you have the chance you’ll have a blast!
This hotel is in a perfect location in the Savannah Historic District within walking distance of everything. This was our first time visiting Savannah and we stayed four nights - a little getaway from Minnesota snow and cold weather. There are many hotels in the Historic District and we are so glad we chose this one for the convenience of being close to everything we wanted to see and do! We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport and spent five days exploring the Historic District on foot finding great restaurants, shopping and tours - and we were never far from the hotel! Family from SC decided to join us for a couple days and even though the website showed there were no rooms available, hotel staff was able to get us an additional room for one night. There is a parking garage next to the hotel where they were able to leave their car during their stay. Our room was nice and we especially appreciated the long bathroom counters. The two young men at the front desk, Sam and Alejandro, were very friendly and helpful. Concierge Sheila helped us arrange tours. The breakfast area is very nice with a good selection of items available. We enjoyed the lovely little onsite bar, also! The location of the hotel definitely played a huge role in how much we were able to enjoy our trip. We will go back to Savannah and back to the Holiday Inn Express!…
We stayed for the St Patrick’s Day parade. The hotel has valet parking, is directly on the parade route and easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. Staff were helpful, breakfast was adequate. 1 elevator wasn’t working, with a full hotel it was a problem at times. Would recommend especially for the parade.
Great location, clean rooms, nice staff. However, only 1 elevator was working and the working elevator was EXTREMELY slow. Breakfast service was slow b/c not staffed. One person should not be responsible for refilling food/coffee as well as cleaning tables and emptying trash when the dining room is filled to capacity and there is constant incoming guests. People stood around waiting for coffee and food. Not the individual's fault as she was moving non-stop.
You can't ask for a better location - right across from the river on the main street in town. Very easy walking distance to most everything you want to see. Our room had great views and parking was right next door with no valet needed. The hotel is fairly new and well-decorated. A signature scent in the lobby and you feel it's a boutique hotel. Our room was also large with a nice-sized bathroom and a very soft, comfy bed. The only fault I could find was a lack of attention to detail. A room safe that came locked and it took 3 phone calls over 2 days to get someone to come up. Also a closet w/only 3 hangers in it for 2 people. Extra hangers were quickly brought up but they were the wrong size and didn't fit on the rod.
Very comfortable beds and pillows, good facilities in room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location and value for money. A good variety of food at breakfast. My only suggestion is that it would be a good idea to have a microwave oven accessible in the dining area, as some people would prefer their food to be warmer. As an Irish couple from Dublin, we felt right at home especially as it was almost St. Patrick's Day. Over all, we would highly recommend this hotel . Mary and Chris, Dublin Ireland. Date of stay - 9th March 2023 - 16th March 2023
Just back from 2 fantastic days touring Savannah and staying in a very nice hotel. We did have one incident that on the evening it happened unfortunately it wasn't handled very well . To make a long story short what happened was as I was undressed to my boxers the door flew open and two women , a daughter and Mom went to come in . Stopping dead in their tracks they left and headed to the front desk to enquire why there was a half naked man in the room. I also headed to the front desk and was told there was a mistake about assigning rooms and scanning room keys . All the while the two on the desk were smiling and one actually offered me ice cream as compensation,l suggested a fifth of scotch to be more appropriate. I headed back to the room and attempted to contact a night manager but was told they were on a break so I called IHG direct . Turned out there was no night manager. From that point on everything went well . The day manager reached out the next morning ,apologized , gave us that night free etc etc . Kudos to IHG and to the day staff on handling an unfortunate situation professionally. I hear some deep retraining is in store for some employees. Other than that ,the hotel is fantastic and we highly recommend it .…
Very clean hotel. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and seemed to be fairly new. We had a view of the river. Housekeeping came every day which was nice to have especially since COVID. The breakfast was good and included. The location of this hotel was perfect. It was close the River Walk and the Historic District. The only negative thing was one of the elevators was broken while we were there. Sometimes it would take awhile for the elevator to come. The staff was apologetic but it was also something beyond their control. We would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we are visiting Savannah.
Holiday inn. Check in was as easy as 1,2,3, Rooms super clean including the hallway was spprtless and clean. The only thin i we were annoyed wad the fire alarm went on and we all had to go from 7th floor to ground floor, only to be told it was an ODIOT smoking in the bathroom. They should have a fire panel indicating the location of fire and the progress on that fire. Its 2023 not 1855. Most hotels, Collages have this type of a system. You respond to the particular room 1st b4 you inniciated evacuation of the entire hotel. Some guest had kids, Some guest were disabled and tht needed help, other were seniors. So please consider this.
