Hats off to the staff and management at The Marshall House. The manager Melody Campbell was in touch with me a month before we made the trip and answered all my questions. Savannah is a beautiful city and is lucky to have the staff at The Marshall House as its ambassadors. Carlton, Curtiss, China and all the other people went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Ms. Jackie helped us book one of the best walking tours with Noble Jones tours. There was coffee/tea and bottled water available every day. Melody helped us plan out our meals (we are both vegans on a side note for vegans - Kayak Cafe, Hungry Vegan, Common Thread, CO, Sentient Bean, Foxy Loxy Cafe, Bull Street Tacos are some of the places that have vegan options). Don't forget to visit the Hungry Vegan at La Thrope Ave. It is a bit out of town but is well worth it. She also helped us plan our days. For the most part, the city is walkable even if it is 100 degrees. This is due to the squares (which are actually parks) filled with oak trees that reduce the temperature. Needless to say, The Marshall House was the most important reason why our trip to Savannah was enjoyable. We even talked about moving to Savannah if we ever get the chance. Eating at Rancho Alegre with live music (they also have vegan/vegetarian options) was the perfect end to a perfect trip. Thank you to everybody who works at The Marshall House for going above and beyond.

We have been going to Savannah for 20 years and at one point even lived in Savannah. With that, this was one of our best choices yet! Well maintained, beautiful architecture, amazing hotel staff and a great location! Even the Covid era breakfast was very nicely organized. If you get a chance book one of the balcony rooms. There's nothing better than sitting on the balcony and letting the worlds problems melt away while relaxing on one of the rocking chairs.

We love sharing our city with guests that truly appreciate it and it sounds like you did it right and made the most of your stay with us here at The Marshall House. Thank you for your kind notes about our breakfast, I will pass those on to our staff. We do hope that we can get you back down here soon for another great stay.

We’ve stayed at Marshall House twice now and I have no plans to stay anywhere else when visiting Savannah in the future. The location is excellent and centrally located in town. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well-maintained with a very friendly staff. One thing to remember is that this is an historic hotel, which means only one elevator, small rooms and creaky floors. This is what makes it unique which unfortunately is what many fail to realize.

I loved the friendly staff, wine hour, good breakfast, clean rooms and great location. Really great place that I’d return to when we go back to Savannah! Only bad thing was the pillows were just awful! Immediately lost any fluff upon laying on them and I woke up with a neck ache the next morning. I’d definitely return but would bring my own pillow!

We enjoyed a most beautiful stay at The Marshall House during our road trip to Virginia. Pattie and Jack went above and beyond for us (a most superb valet pair) along with every staff member of this humble abode. Between the stunning historic charm, the all-hours service and hospitality, included wine happy hours, AND delicious breakfast provided by the bistro in the atrium of the house... we will most definitely be visiting again. Thank you Marshall House!
