Although a little pricey, this was a great place to stay. Next door they had a wonderful café called Café M. I was surprised by the $20 a day parking, especially as I was paying almost $270 a night already. The staff were great.

Thank you for your kind review. We're happy you enjoyed your stay and our location. Being in a historic district that predates the automobile, parking is definitely at a premium; however we are thankful our Historic Preservation Foundation protects all our beautiful and architecturally significant homes and buildings from being replaced by more parking garages. River Street Inn is beautiful on the outside and inside. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. Our bags were unloaded from our vehicle and taken to the front desk where we followed to check in. Check in was quick and extremely nice/helpful staff. Our room was amazing! GREAT view of the river! We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed for one night. Nice location near the main street and Market Square. Nice room on the third floor. Parking available at public garage across the street. Friendly staff allowed for a late checkout.

What is that smell? Third floor, as you step off the elevator on the 3rd floor, you are greeted by a wall of smell that can only be described as death mixed with skunk. I,m not sure what is dead in the wall but someone needs to start looking! Overall rooms were fine, other than my keycard needing to be...

We appreciate your review. Yours is the first complaint and/or notification of any odor in the hotel, so we really cannot determine what you smelled or where it came from. We recently stayed at the River Street Inn in Savannah. It is located right in the middle of Bay St. and within walking distance of most downtown sights. The rooms are very nice with canopy beds and good space. They also have an elevator that goes directly down to River St. The only drawback is the parking. It is not...

Most of the stay was very enjoyable, except for the parking experience. My wife and I checked in on May 3, and stayed two nights. The bellhop Steven was very polite efficient. We were told which parking garage t use, went there and it said "full". Drove back to the hotel, where the desk gave us a song and dance...

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. Since the Historic District was built well before the invention of the automobile, parking is very limited and at a premium. We pay the City of Savannah approximately $10,000 per month for parking passes to ensure our guests have a space, even when it's full. We are, however,...

They have complimentary wine and cheese, hummus, veggies, snacks, every night in the tavern from 5-630. So nice to enjoy some time on their porch rockers every night during it and before going out. The hotel is in a great location. I sprung for the river view and I highly recommend it bc since the hotel isn't cheap, you might...

Thank you very much for your kind review! Our location certainly is unsurpassed! Since our building was constructed 200 years ago as a cotton warehouse, the "balconies" were not intended for leisure, but for the cotton factors to look onto the river banks below and oversee the cotton being loaded and unloaded onto the ships docked along the Savannah River....

Loved the historic look, feel and charm of the River Street Inn. The location is perfectly centralized to Savannah by foot and the view from my 4th floor room was awesome looking down to the bridge and across from the Westin and civic center. The service is excellent and the concierge is very knowledgeable to the area. The room was...

The room was very tidy and just big enough for the two of us. We had a riverfront room so we could enjoy the river view, but easy access to bay street from the hotel lobby. Had to park just across the street for overnight but did have a small unloading zone right off bay street. Staff was friendly and...
