Stayed 2 nights as part of a COSMOS Tour. Room had not been made up correctly from previous guests, sugar etc for coffee - 2 empty plastic bags & 1 part used. Reception staff were friendly & helpful. Tiles missing in the very compact bathroom. Dinner at restaurant a poor failure - meal ordered required white wine for sauce -... More

We stayed here for 1 night. It is a U shaped building with a 5 storey block facing the street but with 2 storey wings built around a central enclosed atrium. This also housed the pool and the patio doors of the rooms all faced inwards onto the pool area.It had lifts to the higher floors and free Wi-Fi in... More

I got a good rate here during a week where hotels were at a sky high price around Boston. The room was nice (on the 6th floor). Internally the hotel was very old fashioned (not so clean). It really needs to be refurbished. Beyond the reception area I felt like I had fallen into the 1970s. On a positive note,... More

Different!! An atrium with all rooms facing inwards on ground and first floor. Room had usual facilities including bottled water for making tea/coffee, walk in shower in bathroom. Very clean but not the largest of rooms. Dinner was burger with fries and a glass of Adnam's beer which cost $6.50 (£5,12) and not a full pint. Breakfast was $28 consisting... More

We stayed in the junior suite to find that the curtains, walls, carpet were dirty. Wallpaper was pealing off the walls. The bathroom hadn't been updated in years. Then we went to sleep and heard mice in the walls and scratching like they were trying to get in the room. The staff obviously knew about the mice problem because we... More

The hotel is old and dated. Our room door wouldn't shut properly. Cleanliness of our room was a "B" at best. They couldn't check us in until well after 4 pm and it seemed that the hotel was empty. Front desk was very mediocre and had people "filling in". It is convenient to Boston University, but I would recommend something... More

This is a poor hotel. Every part of it is old, dated, and sucks the life out of you. The rooms are poorly lit, the space is cramped, and the room was not sound proof from outside noise. I cannot believe in 2016 that a hotel of such poor quality has a Holiday Inn sign on it. This hotel would have struggled to be a decent hotel in the 1970's. We stayed here in early October as part of a Cosmos tour. On the plus side: comfy bed and pillows. Finding accommodation with a low budget isn't easy in Boston! It's so expensive. Our stay at Holiday Inn was decent. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. It's in a great location surrounded by restaurants, cafes, banks and public transportation. The room was clean but it was still pricy for us to stay for just one night.
