The customer service from Condor Hotel has been nothing less than exceptional during my stay. The checking in process was time efficient and took no more than a few minutes. The reception desk had been very understanding and considerate to its customers, not to mention the booking price is cheaper than its competitors. I was quite impressed by the quality of my room - from the spacious size to the open balcony overlooking the Brooklyn skies. I will definitely book at the Condor Hotel again in the future.
Finding an affordable Hotel in New York seemed like an impossible task. Not only is The Condor affordable, it is one of the most pleasant places I've ever had the pleasure of staying. The neighborhood is somewhat unkempt and far less than picturesque; but once you enter the Condor you will feel like you're in another world. The Condor is very clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and extremely accommodating. Every room makes optimal use of limited space with a kitchenette and a soothing, deep bathtub. Although there's not much of a view, I enjoyed my little, private balcony and the lovely, peaceful courtyard on the first level. And I can't say enough good things about the staff - especially a delightful young lady named Stephany. I was treated like royalty by all of the very courteous, friendly and professional front desk staff. I would be remiss to not mention Delroy, who stood and politely greeted me, and Enrique, whose warmth made me feel like family. Sweet, beautiful Stephany went above and beyond to make sure my five day (four night) stay was as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I could feel her warmth and smile even behind her mask. I travel quite a bit as an Actress and freelance entertainer. I sincerely hope I will have the opportunity to stay at The Condor again and I highly recommend it to anyone. …
I had a reservation and was coming into town for one night to film a documentary the next day. When I arrived at the hotel at 9:15 pm from the airport, there was no receptionist in the lobby. I waited 5-10 minutes hoping to see someone to no avail. So, I called the hotel from the front lobby, thinking it would ring to someone's phone. This did not happen. Finally, after about 15 minutes I saw a man pushing a portable bed. I asked him if he was the receptionist and he says he will be with me in a minute. Another five minutes goes by with no appearance. Finally he shows up, asks if I was the person who called the hotel, then proceeded to chastise me for doing that when I could see no one was at the front desk. He was incredibly rude and finally gave me a key. The room was not what was booked and smelled horrible, especially if you got near the curtains. I would never stay here again. …
The Condor hotel is truly a luxury boutique oasis in the midst of genuine day-to-day Brooklyn. Yes the neighborhood is a bit gritty but it is real and it is perfectly fine to walk around. All through the day and well into the evening folks from the Hasidic community are out and about, little kids walking and mom's pushing baby carriages well into the evening. The subway stop is a short walk away but that's the case for about everything in NYC. The hotel itself, while small, is very elegantly appointed with a beautiful lobby, very comfortable and clean sitting area with computer access, and a very peaceful and green garden in the back with comfortable chairs. This is my second stay here and the rooms are immaculately clean and very spacious. As others have mentioned the beds are incredibly comfortable with tons of pillows. The bathroom has plenty of room to move around in and I was really pleased that there was not excessive wastefulness/plastic with the toiletries. There was plenty to use for what I needed. And should you want more toiletries or towels all you need to do is ask. The staff is incredibly accommodating.…
What is going on here? Where are these 4-5 star reviews coming from? During our 2 nights we experienced a 1am party that wouldn’t stop (despite calls to the front desk), reluctance from the front desk staff to provide 2 extra washcloths and a bar of soap, someone trying to get into our room the first night, someone knocking to get into the room at 2am the second night, frequent and pungent pot smoking within the hotel, no free breakfast (despite what was noted on the website), very thin walls (we heard everything going on next door), no options to leave after the first night with reimbursement for the 2nd night. In short - do not stay here. We did not feel safe and it is not in any way the nice boutique hotel it claims to be.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. When a friend from Canada joined it was no problem. A bed was added to the room and parking provided across the street. Small kitchen useful. Bath nice with functional plug. Coffee/tea refills and cleaning should be provided daily in my opinion. You had to ask for it. Reaction was friendly and quick.
Excellent boutique hotel with good services. Definitely will come here again ! Nice clean, friendly worker. Excellent manager ! Excellent hospitality, family friendly. Suitable for travelers. Price is reasonable!
AN Excellent & wonderful hotel to stay. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Staffs are always friendly. I must say that everything was excellent. I woukd definitely recommend this hotel to others having a trip or just a staycation. All is great, thank you.
I really enjoyed my stay while working in Brooklyn during a film shoot. After working 16+ hour days it was always nice coming back to be greeted by the staff who is AMAZING. My room had everything I needed and i can’t rave enough about how comfortable my bed was. Rooms were nicely appointed, my room and a colleagues had brand new carpet, I’m assuming all the others were recently replaced as well. I definitely would stay here again. Quiet little hotel and parking available right across the street if needed. Thanks Condor!
If you are looking for a quiet ambient night after a long busy day in the city, this is the perfect spot. I stayed at the condor for my weekend gateway in nyc last month. They have the most comfortable bed and pillow, like seriously. It was just super soft. The hotel was nicer than I expected.
