My husband and I live in Bed Stuy and when we were scouting out locations for our wedding knew we would want to keep it local. Akwaaba was everything we wanted and more. Our wedding was truly magical and the staff was incredible and gracious. We stayed at the B&B as did my Aunt and Uncle and the rooms were...

My husband recently celebrated a milestone birthday and I wanted it to be special. We had the most wonderful weekend at the historic Akwaaba Mansion in Brooklyn. The place is WOW Beautiful. The Mansion is elegantly decorated and walking into each room leaves you with the feeling like you stepped into history or another century. High ceilings; beautiful porch; lots...

I have stayed in 3 of the lovely rooms in this elegant Brooklyn mansion; each one is so comfortable and spacious. I love the jacuzzi bath tubs, very relaxing. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and friendly. The breakfast is a real treat with individualized service.

We enjoyed our two day stay. Historic home with huge ceilings and historically attractive decor. Great breakfast and very hospitable. Will return on next visit- and great value! Innkeeper was helpful and accommodating. Appointments were breathtaking and very interesting. I could not stop walking thru and enjoying what it must have been like in the late 20th century - what...

Akwaaba mansion is a delight in many ways. We enjoyed spending some of our leisure time on their porch, just watching the world go by. The interior is visually striking, with ornate hardwood floors, chandeliers, and woodwork that exhibit 19th century craftsmanship. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful, giving us good recommendations on restaurants nearby, directions, etc. Also, the breakfast...

Enjoyed my stay at Akwaaba and want to return. Appreciate the historical design along with the luxurious modern bath. Very particular about what I eat and found the breakfast to exceed my standards. Sherry was a pleasure to talk to and made delicious accommodations for my dietary needs. Akwaaba is nicely located walking distance to relatives, restaurants, playground, and subway...

It's a beautiful home. The innkeeper was extremely welcoming, warm, and helpful. The decor was simply elegant. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation I had with the other guests who were from Chicago and Virginia. I will be staying there again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful BnB. We stayed in the "Jumping the Broom" suite, which has beautiful antique furnishings and a very comfortable king-sized bed. Sherry, the inn-keeper, prepared a delicious breakfast and made us feel very welcome...we had a wonderful chat with her.

My first experience occurred on January 14, 2012. My daughter held her wedding there and I stayed overnight in The Black Memorabilia Room. I loved the décor and the overall nostalgic feel of it. Four years later; just last week in fact, I returned there to celebrate with family for my daughter and son-in-law's first baby-shower. All of our party...

My mother in law and father in law stayed in the Ashante suite for 6 days during their fourth trip to New York. My wife and I live in the neighborhood and we were delighted the Akwaaba could host our parents. It is a beautiful mansion and we enjoy walking by it on nearly a daily basis. It is a...
