How come most negative reviews get deleted? Kind of takes away credibility when only glowing reviews are let to stay.

Hello Ralph, thank you for your question!
The Drifter Motel just changed management approximately a month ago, and it was never registered into Tripadvisor. We have just registered the business, and it went live just yesterday morning (8/23/16). We're adding pictures and responding to all questions/reviews right now, but as far as the negative reviews being deleted we have no clue, it could likely be an algorithm to filter certain reviews (but this is just conjecture).
We're doing MAJOR renovations to EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. We're looking at the reviews people are posting and adding on to the big list of more improvements we can make.
We've completely renovated several rooms, and are currently in the process of renovating even more. Our current finished renovations include new carpets, beds, sheets, TV, refrigerators, microwaves, bathroom amenities, and more! (Will be uploading many more pictures in the near future) We just installed high-speed Wi-Fi which is accessible throughout the entire motel, and included free breakfast for daily guests. We've ordered two coin washers/dryers so people can do their laundry on the premises (will arrive sometime September), and will likely order more if the demand is high enough.
We realize that there were many unhappy people before we took ownership of the motel, and we want to do everything in our power to rectify that, from renovations, services and more! There were some happy with the motel before, and we want to make them even happier!
Thank you for your question, and we hope that you give the new (and improving) Drifter Motel a shot!

"Ask for a non-smoking room in the back of the property. Quieter than rooms up by the road."
