big timber appears to hold this beautiful old lodge up. the rooms are comfortable and pretty private, although like a lot of the old places built "in the day" the walls a re a bit thin. the view was great, spectacular really and the food was just fine . after a hard day of hiking, the bed was a welcome...

I visited the Many Glacier Lodge some years ago and LOVED it! Although I never spent the night here, the inside reminded me of some of the beautiful places I visited in Switzerland. It's nestled nicely in the mountains! There is a herd of bighorn sheep that walk around near the lodge you can see from time to time. They...

This is the place to stay on the E side of Glacier NP, so reserve your room months or a year in advance of your trip. The recently renovated rooms are best, and choose one on the lake side, no balcony necessary, because the lake view is outstanding from the double windows. Rooms are small, and so is the shower,...

We stayed here for two nights as part of a packaged trekking holiday arranged through Country Walkers. The Lodge is located in the park and directly on the shores of the lake b The rooms are small, sound insulation limited and the bathrooms could well be converted cupboards. The shower was very small but there was loads of hot water....

The old lodge is stunning, the view is spectacular, good hikes are very close. My favorite place in Glacier and I visited the park 5 times already although I live in France. The rooms just need improvement : very noisy, the bathroom is way too old (the shower cabins are so small and uncomfortable). Dinners are okay but breakfasts are...

Nice Room, great location, staff not very friendly or overtly helpful. Real hit or miss with the staff there. Got there during the fires, so view where a little hazy but still beautiful. Some of the greatest hikes in Glacier emanate from here. Iceberg Lake, Grinell Glacier, Swiftcurrent Lookout. Great place to spend a few days, in what many folks...

The lodge just turned 100 and is awesome. No elevator, TV, ac. The bell boys in the lederhosen will carry your bags up the four flights of stairs if needed. The lobby is awesome and great for playing a family game, reading or just enjoying the view. We had a family suite that had two rooms attached and sharing a...

Many Glacier Lodge is a very large historic hotel set in the eastern side of Glacier National Park. It's in a beautiful setting and has access to many great hiking trails. The hotel, being old, has paper thin walls, so you can expect to hear your neighbors next door and above you. It just goes with the territory. What was...

Manage your expectations. If you want a great room, don't stay here. If you want a great view (lake side) and perfect location (any room), you are on the shore with great views of several peaks. Great hikes nearby. The bad: Rooms are poorly insulated (maybe not at all). Sound (even light talkers) can be heard. The food in the...

We made reservations with Xantera for two rooms (under the same name) for two couples. The two rooms could not have been farther apart in the hotel. No elevator. No help with luggage. The two rooms that were reserved were totally different. (they said they did not have two similar rooms together) They cater to tour buses. The staff makes...
