We (5 friends) just returned ffrom our third trip June, 2015 to the Growley Bear Lodge and had a really great time. We were welcomed like family. Marie is a great hostess and made some great meals for us everyday. Captain Rob went out of his way to provide us with the best in Halibut and Salmon fishing. While the...

This is the second year we have stayed with Rob and Marie and were not disappointed. Captain Rob knows his craft and if you follow his advice you will come home with lots of fish and great memories! Marie makes the BEST home made desserts and the lodge is clean and comfortable. Already planning to go next year! We (4...

We (five of us) stayed here. Accommodations were fine. The food was excellent. Fishing was o.k. Captain Rob was ignorant and rude to all of us. We were supposed to fish 7:30 to 3:00, but brought us back in at 2:00 one day because he had an appointment in Juneau. I can not say strongly enough that I will never...

We (5 friends) stayed with Rob and Marie in June of 2013 at the Growley Bear Lodge and went fishing everyday with Rob. First off both of them are the nicest hardest working people you will ever meet and they go out of their way to make your stay an outstanding time. Rob is the best captains we have had...

We spent a week fishing with Rob and staying at the Growley Bear, enjoying Marie's hospitality and great food. The lodge is a great environment where you feel welcome from the start and the food exceeds all expectations. Rob is a very knowledgeable highly-skilled captain with a first class fishing gear and a well-maintained boat. We had great success fishing...

Stayed here and fished with Rob. Great time and enjoyed the hospitality. Marie is a fantastic cook! We will be returning. Ask for the mac and cheese. I think you are supposed to lose weight on an adventure, instead we gained!

Stayed with the Growley Bear Lodge and had a great time. We initially signed up for just the Bed and Breakfast but the chef (Eddie) changed our minds quickly. The accomodations were great, the food was awesome, and the value was outstanding. They (the staff) made us feel like family. Would highly recommend staying there to anyone. Perry C.
