Location of the Motel is excellent in conjunction with the town. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Grand Marais reminded my husband and I of Bayfield, WI. on a larger scale. We stayed in town and did not do any extra traveling with it being our first visit. We saved a little for next time and restaurants too. For breakfast...

The Mangy Moose provides the perfect balance of privacy and care. After several weeks and trips the past year involving caregiving of ill relatives, I wanted a quiet spot to reflect and refresh. I appreciated not having to keep track of a key and not having maid service during my stay. On the other hand, I knew that if I...

We spent 3 nights at the Mangy Moose and were very impressed with this establishment. This motel's owners show a great deal of pride in what they have. Our room was spotless. The food prep area was separate from the main room with nice counter space to work on. We never heard any of our neighbors even though there was...

Loved our two day stay . Room was immaculate and comfy. Great little place close to town across from the SA in town Close to everything and yet very quiet. Only 10 rooms total. Ours had a king bed and had new flatscreen tv and a small refrigerator

This review is about 6 yrs old.. group of us were riding up to Grand Marais on our yearly motorcycle trip and stayed here one night. Great location to walk to different places to eat.. the rooms were spotless. We still talk about this place to this day. Would go back.

Very Clean and walking distance close to downtown we even had a small view of the lake from our room. Parking right outside the door and a nice patio on the grounds to sit and enjoy the beautiful fall day.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here & I would book again when planning to head to Grand Marais. My cozy little room w/ a queen bed was very clean & had a nice updated bathroom with new fixtures. The owners attention to details whether it is the cleanliness, wisely utilizing a small space & not over-crowding it w/...

We loved it here. Bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were heavenly. I think the pillowcases were ironed! So crisp and fresh smelling - no perfumy smell. The bathroom and the whole room was exceptionally clean and comfortable! Loved our stay!!
