We stayed in Patrick's cabin. It was quiet, very clean and he it's own dock. The staff were very helpful for hiking locations and watercraft rentals. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Overall a very relaxing and inviting atmosphere

We had a great time. It was liberating being out of cell phone range and only limited WiFi access up at the main lodge. We stayed in cabin 2 which had two large picture windows looking out on the lake. We could sit in bed drinking coffee and enjoying the view. Everybody was friendly and helpful. We plan to do...

We loved our cabin literally a few feet from water's edge. We could not see another cabin from ours, so we could be in our own little world. And yet, when we wanted to connect we went to the Lodge where there is wi fi and other lovers of the Northwoods. We enjoy day-paddling, so the 7 miles of Clearwater...

We began our BWCA trip here in the bunkhouses, and returned at the end of our trip when we were cold and soaking wet. A night relaxing by the fire in the lodge, sleeping on comfortable beds in the bed and breakfast rooms, followed by a tasty hot breakfast were just the ticket to revive our energy for the drive...

Just got back from there today - we had a great time even though it rained. I went with family (kids/teens) ages 12-18. It was our first time in this area and on the Gunflint Trail. Clearwater lake lives up to its name - it's clear. It's beautiful no matter what time of day it is. We stayed in the...

We stayed here for 4 days and had a blast! The cabin was excellent and the owners were gracious and helpful people. The property is located a couple of miles off of the Gunflint Trail, with access to some of the most beautiful lakes and trails that I have ever seen. It is a great place to fish, hike and...

I HIGHLY recommend Clearwater Historic Lodge to anyone looking for a place to get away from it all. This is the perfect destination for anyone seeking to enjoy the beautiful scenic BWCA wilderness of northern Minnesota. I absolutely loved Clearwater Historic Lodge! It was the perfect spot for myself and my friends during our Boundary Waters trip. As a lodge,...

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Clearwater. It is a great jumping off point for day trips around the Boundary Waters. On days we weren't paddling, we enjoyed the easily accessible hikes in the area. The staff here were very friendly and gave helpful recommendations for things to do and see in the area. Our cabin...

I used Clearwater Lodge for their outfitting and lodging services for a group of 12. Erik and the entire staff were super nice and great to work with; extremely accommodating - thank you! Erik helped with our route planning for a 5-day canoe trip and even shuttled us to a local restaurant. Our visit was awesome, I highly recommend Clearwater...

We used to camp in the Gunflint trail area at least once a year before we had kids. This was our first year back after 6 years and we decided to stay at the Clear Water Lodge with our kids to make it easier for ourselves. We got there late but we're really impressed with how wonderful we were greeted...
