This is an OK hotel with a great location. Our room was $150/night for a small room with a king bed and a view of lake Superior. I generally agree with the rest of the reviews here but hopefully I can add a few other thoughts that are mentioned here less often: This hotel is great for my wife and...

We arrived late afternoon and had to wait over 10 minutes just for someone to show up to check us in. Then we were directed to the second floor to our room, but found after we climbed the steps with our heavy suitcases that our room was on the first floor. When my son went to take a shower we...

The best view from all the other hotels/motels in Grand Marais. The people that work there are really nice and very helpful. And it is not that expensive! It needs a bit renovation, but the rooms are decent!

For a great location this hotel is very sad ! The decor of the place is WAY outdated, the rooms are dingy and the cleanliness is questionable . The best thing of the whole place is the patio that gives you a great view of the lake ....unfortunately nobody finds it necessary to keep it clean . It is littered...

My two friends and I came up for a quick overnight mom's getaway. Although we arrived an hour past check in, our room was too small for the three of us even though we indicated there would be three of us. The gentleman at the front desk asked if we could come back in an hour. He would clean a...

Had to wash the plastic matress cover and how this could be missed when maids changed the bedding is unreal. carpet was dirty and stained and the chairs in the room should be in a landfill. I've stayed here before but this place seems to be going down

We stayed one night. Everything was adequate: everything was outdated and past its use by date! The hotel is in dire need of a full renovation and updating. The location is terrific- the patio which is a great sun deck and is right on the lake- is a great feature, or at least it would be if it was weed...

This hotel does need an overhaul. A thorough cleaning would be good! Moldy showers, filthy carpets and dirty windows and window sills. It was the location that got me to book here and the location is great. Easy access to everything Grand Marais has to offer. But next time I'm in town I will not be staying here.

A friend and I went for a quick overnight up to Grand Marais for a weekend getaway. After finding that many places had a two night minimum, we were happy to find The Shoreline Inn! We had a room that overlooked the water, and really loved the view. The front desk clerks we encountered were very friendly and approachable. The...

Very old and outdated. The entire place smelled bad from the time we walked in and the room was no exception. It was 50 degrees in the room and the window would not close even with 2 of us of pulling down on it. This place does not look like it has been updated in the last 20 years. Thank...
