Very nice motel, the kind I remember staying at as a kid on family trips. Perfect location by Great Sand Dunes NP and just uphill from the good Oasis Diner. The patios in the back of each room facing the park, San Luis Vally and the edge of the Sangre De Christo mountains was great as well.

Perfect spot to stay! I stayed at the duplex with my kids. I had read multiple craptacular reviews of the duplex and my expectations were very low. However, it was super spacious, had a great sun room to chill in, was super dark at night for star viewing (though it's better to into the park - even the duplex lights...

The review is for the Oasis Motel Duplex. It is not part or extension of the Great Sand Dunes Lodge. We are in the same neighborhood. It is very nice to see that our neghbors are doing well. Thank you for taking time out to review.

My family and I just got back from The Great Sand Dunes Lodge; what a wonderful experience!! The sraff is the most friendly and helpful we've experienced anywhere in some time, and the facility is immaculately clean---most imressive given thst it's surrounded by nothing but sand. Pool is nice as well; grand kids loved it. The free coffee is also...

We booked a deluxe plus room (somewhat pricey) on the end. The owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us a coffee maker to take back to the room. There was coffee available in the lobby also. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It had a great view of the sand dunes, a grill and a patio...

This motel is all about the location at the gate of the Great Sand Dunes NP. Rooms were clean and there was an unexpected fridge which was a pleasant surprise. The WiFi reception was poor and walls a bit thin. The indoor pool was a nice treat after a day of hiking

Just seeing the sunset and sunrise from your terrace in front of the San Luis Valley and the dunes is worth staying in the Great Sand Dunes Lodge. If you add a very comfortable « Deluxe » room, the indoor pool and the friendly and helpful staff, this is definitively the place to stay when visiting Great Sand Dunes National...

I was expecting something a bit more rustic when booking a lodge right at the entrance to a National Park. I was pleasantly surprised that it was more of an upscale motel. The couple that runs the lodge are absolutely wonderful. We arrived around dinner time during a snow storm. Rather than checking us in immediately, the gentleman insisted that...

The lodge is a gem. It is extremely quiet and comfortable. The proprietors were very friendly and fulfilled any special requests. Some rooms are even dog friendly. Make sure to bring your own food. Grilling on the patio with the view of the dunes in the background was amazing.

Stayed one night here April 22 and rented the deluxe plus room-#15-right on the end. Was told this was a new room-along with #14. Still smelled new. Excellent location. Had fridge, microwave, Direct TV and king bed and couch. Big sliding back door with covered patio with table and chairs. Shared BBQ grill just behind the back door. Excellent location for...

This motel is close to the entrance to the park. The panoramic view from the patio off each room is worth the price of the room. Each morning deer came close to graze near the back door. The rooms are basic, complete with refrig and clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. They were upfront when we called for reservations...
