If you are traveling on a budget then this is the place to stay! I am a solo traveler and do not need much - just a tent site. If you are a person that is super careful with a small car - then you might not like the roads leading through this campground - they are extremely rocky. In...

The sand boards were fine, it was fun to use them on the dunes at Great Sand Dunes. Cost to rent a board was a little pricey but when you are the only place near the entrance to the park, you can pretty much set the price at what you want-no competition. They had souvenirs were available. There's a restaurant,...

Pack a lunch, or get it to go. The food os good. The service was horrid. When you are the only game near a remote national park...I suppose that's ok. I however think some of us should speak up, because the waiter should atleast TRY.

RV sites are too close together. Dogs barking and nobody around to enforce quiet hours. Dog feces on sites. If you can get a place in the park and don't have to have hookups then go there. The only thing this place has going for it is proximity to park. At $38 you are not getting your moneys worth.

Stayed in a rustic cabin. Very rustic, one light bulb, and four bunks with pads No heat and it was cold at night in September. Bathrooms were located down a steep hill and far from cabins Bathrooms were clean and they did have a laundry facility.. No lighting at night to see your way so bring flashlights. View of the...

Pros: Nice staff and close to the National Park, clean bathrooms Cons: Small sites, kids playground is terrible shape, access is challenging because of the conditions of the road and the size of the sites. Pricey $38.00 per night for an rv site, $55.00/night for a cabin and $25.00/night for primitive tent camping. Way overpriced given the lack of amenities....

Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park is on the hill facing the south side of the Great sand Dunes. From Sunrise to Sunset, we have the obstructive view of the dunes from our RV window, just gorgeous. The RV park is quiet and clean. We like that they eliminate all the light and dim the light at the restroom so...

I need to say that we arrived here in the middle of bad weather that washed out the road to Great Sand Dunes NP. The driveways, parking lot and RV sites at this resort were all in bad shape. There was a lot of machinery trying to put everything back together. Despite the mess the staff/owners were great and helped...

We stayed in Duplex 1 about a mile from the Oasis. It was amazing, lots of room, comfortable, amazing view of Sand Dunes. Secluded so you can see the stars at night. Close enough to dunes for hiking and sand boarding. The food in the Oasis was great also and the staff very friendly.

We stopped there for one night. It is the campground with full hookups closest to Great Sand Dunes National Park. All site are narrow pull-thrus. From the Campground there is a beautiful view of the dunes and the surrounding mountains. Site 1 has an unobstructed view. Good place to stop for one night to visit the park.
