Never being here before, my wife and I chose the Sidney James Mountain Lodge to spend 5 nights. This is an older lodge and is being renovated. That certainly didn't bother us any. This lodge is also off the beaten path, but we didn't mind at all. It was a nice walk (approx 1/2 mile) to the main city, so...

I recently stayed at the Sidney James with my Brother and our teenage kids. Our first trip to Gatlinburg from Cape Cod Mass. What a great trip. This hotel is everything you need. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and the help especially the front desk are ultra friendly and super helpful. I shopped around to the point...

What a little gem! Located about 15 minutes walking from the main street the hotel offered free parking and wifi. We paid the extra and reserved a creek view room, probably a good idea because it is the one thing that I loved about the place. We rocked up at the same time the room was being cleaned, which was...

We just stayed here for the spring wildflower migration April 2017. We had already booked our room and paid when we heard there are bedbug issues at the lodge. Our room was 270 in the courtyard. Not the best, but for the price we were prepared for the worst. That was not the case. It was "average" as far as...

The room was clean, but very dated. Bathroom was tiny and I mean, teenie tiny. We stayed in a creekside room and enjoyed going out on the balcony. We could hear the creek inside the room we didn't have the manually controlled and LOUD old air conditioner running. The room felt damp the whole time. TV worked some of the...

The prices are some of the lowest in the area, but you get what you pay for. The rooms are dirty and need a deep cleaning. They are very out-of-date with bedding that looks like it might be 20+ years old. The pool area is ok. I could not really recommend this to anyone.

I definitely do not recommend this place. This hotel needs LOTS of upgrading. They are still in the 70's look they still have the big back T.V's. This hotel reminded me of the bates motel very dark and gloomy. I have never stayed at a hotel that has blue sheets. The room does not even provide an iron you have...

We stayed in the "pet friendly" room area of the hotel which is located across the street fro the main facility. It was more like a dog kennel area of the hotel. Our room stunk to beat the band, and when we complained, they sent a staff member over with a can of Lysol. This was after I stepped in...

This is without a doubt the filthiest accomodations in Gatlinburg, TN. We rented one of the " Smoke Free" Pet Free" 2 br apartments for 8 nights! When we first checked in and opened the door, the stench of old stale cigarettes, mold, urine was overwhelming! Went to tell the desk clerk and she handed me a bottle of Fabreez...
