We are City Close but Country Quiet. Brookside Resort is just 3 blocks from downtown Gatlinburg, 4/10 mile up on 321 at Light 3. When you're on the property, it feels like you're in the country yet a short walk to downtown. The Gatlinburg Trolley stops in front of the office. Most of our large rooms have private streamside balconies and wonderful amenities. Season after season, you will love coming back to Brookside Resort. We take great pride in Brookside Resort and in providing outstanding customer service. We offer a wide range of amenities right here on the grounds. Brookside has a basketball court, Shuffleboard, a sun deck, BBQ Grills, 2 outdoor pools, a "River Walk" path along the river. Brookside provides a hot breakfast offering the traditional Southern "Biscuits & Gravy", scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, pastries, orange juice, milk and coffee are available. Brookside Resort was built in 1931, 3 years before the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was declared and was once considered one of Gatlinburg's premier hotels. Brookside Resort over the years, has been through many transitions. The new management of Brookside Resort has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring back the exterior charm of Brookside Resort and now are facing the interior renovations with gusto and dedication. The towers now have 39" LED televisions, radio/alarms with phone docks, new carpeting and tiled foyers, Wi-Fi throughout the property, in-room safes, new linens, and many have remodeled bathrooms with much more to come. The staff at Brookside welcomes you to Gatlinburg!!

My husband and I stayed at Brookside Resort by Fairbridge on the last night of our trip to Gatlinburg. We chose this hotel because it looked cute and the price was incredibly reasonable, and it very much exceeded our expectations! Check-in was a quick and smooth process. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. We were given a room on the second floor and parking was a short walk away from our room with a ramp in between to bring up our luggage, which was convenient enough for bringing in our hiking gear. The room was clean and nicely decorated to fit the surrounding area. Even the furniture reflected the nature theme! The bed was very comfortable, as was the temperature control. The room had a good number of outlets, which was perfect for charging our cameras and electronics. The balcony door was a bit stuck but once we got it open, revealed a cute balcony overlooking a brook. It was the perfect place for a morning coffee! The price was extremely reasonable. We paid only $54.37 for the night. Our only regret was that this place wasn't available for the rest of our trip!

The property was beautiful. We loved the balcony looking out on the wonderful stream. The room was cleaned daily. Easy check in and check out. The room as very spacious. We had a family of 4 and had plenty of room. We can’t wait to come again and stay at Brookside.

I went in July 2018 I think. The site wouldn't let me put down an older date. The room service was pitiful. The coffee maker wasn't cleaned upon arrival. I applied baby powder for my thighs on the carpet and this wasn't vacuumed up on any day. They gave you tiny bars of soap and didn't replenish them. When asked for a discount for not having the room cleaned, they applied a discount, but were very rude when I asked for clarification on the bill. There is a nice area to look at the woods and the creek, but the vandalism on the wood overhang kind of ruins it. Avoid!

Thank you for your feedback. I seems as if you stayed with us a year ago. A lot has changed in the last year. Housekeeping teams have been changed. Also, new management has taken over. Hope you will give us another chance.

This hotel is trying super hard to be nice. The location is great- and the pool looks nice and the balcony that overlooks the creek is fantastic. However, the non smoking room we had reeked of cigarette smoke and it was outdated and was in need of some repairs and dusting. The bathroom has a super cool sink and a clean tub but the wall has been repaired but not painted and the door was missing paint. Super easy fixes that just weren’t done. Management has a great opportunity to make some easy and cheap updates (literally paint and maybe new carpeting bc of the cigarette smell) to make this a really great place to stay!
