Good concept, staff members are good.... However, the access road is terrible, facilities are poorly maintained, the swimming pool is poorly designed(looks like water reservoir) with no handrails and the water is very dirty, the meals are terrible.I wouldn't encourage anyone to go there.I can assure you one will be disappointed.

I had been looking forward to going to Murera for a few years now having seen it's promotion on Facebook / It is a beautiful place albeit a bit remote. The staff were welcoming but their uniforms looked a bit well worn. The rugs had a musty smell. There was no change of towels. and housekeeping did not clean the... More

Murera springs eco lodge is a great place to relax in the middle of nowhere, it is quiet, peaceful, beautiful and clean with all facilities one can require (limited network). The Meru national park is just a stonethrow away. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they can arrange an excellent guide to accompany to the park and/or surroundings.

Find another lodge. Tents dark no light' baths need cleaning, pool awful also needs to be cleared. Web site a bunch of lies. Staff did try but didn't have much of an idea. House wine was off not drinkable and no ice for mixed drinks. The information sheet in only one of the tents mention a gift shop what a... More

Hi, sorry to hear your bad impressions of Murera and we have noted your comments and of course it is not acceptable but no, it is not lies on the web site. The new pool was constructed in a different way and may look unclear, especially in the rainy season. The camp is run by solar power but should be... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2014 as part of a 16-day safari in Kenya. Very much liked it, staff were extremely friendly and attentive, food was good and it´s only five minutes away from the Murera gate. The rooms are comfy, all you need is there. It´s a little dark as it´s fully solar-powered but that´s really the... More

We stayed at this place that looked so good on the internet in Dec 2013. It was not good at all. The ambiance was not as shown online and the place was safari ants invested on the walk ways to the rooms. The meals were so limiting, no variety. Our children were so miserable we had to cut short our... More

Sorry to hear about the ants, but unfortunately there are plenty of them from time to time. Yes, there is a new pool as the other pool was destroyed in the rain season, but all photos are authentic. Regarding the other questions you stayed in December and we haven't heard about your issues before. Feel free to contact us for... More

After an 8 hour trip from Nairobi, no cold drinks . Considering the facilities they have food was ok, but was a bit apprehensive considering the lack of refrigeration. Dinner under the stars was a nice feature and lunch by the stream very pleasant. Lighting in tents very dim, but accommodation was basic but comfortable for the 2 nights.

The highlights were the attentive staff and the fact that we were located minutes away from the main gate of Meru National Park, one of Kenya's greenest and least visited larger parks. Arriving to Murera Springs after the 8-hr drive from NBO is a bit disappointing. Relative to other safari camps you are likely to stay in Murera Springs is... More
