Nice nonsmoking room, king size bed. Simple amenities included fridge, microwave, iron, wardrobe dresser, flat screen tv, coffee maker, Kleenex, desk, ac/heat, an added bonus a couch in the room which turned out to be a pull out. Overall very satisfied and decent price.
We stayed in this hotel for one night as we were traveling south.
The front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. There were free bottles of water available in the lobby.

The room was dirty when we checked in stains on the wall, cookies on the floor, the AC unit had tape holding the front panel and and did not cool and sounded like it was going to explode at any minute trash and beer bottles...More

Not sure why you would think there was drug activity? This is not in a "seedy" area as you mentioned in your question. There are a lot of restaurants and hotels in the area, we never felt unsafe if that is what you are asking. Where the hotel is located there are about five other hotels within walking distance to each other. We were there for a Nationals Swim Meet. I don't think they would have that located anywhere near a "seedy" area where there are a lot of families gathered together.
