Maramboi was the perfect camp to start our safari trip. It felt remote and earthy enough to feel like real safari but still secure and developed enough to feel like luxury. The camp itself looks out over Lake Manyara and you have zebras, ostriches, wildebeest, gazelle, warthogs, etc just happily grazing around the edges of the camp. The food, accommodation,...

We stayed here on the first leg of an anniversary safari through Tanzania. We felt instantly welcomed when we got to the camp...we were greeted with a hearty "Jambo!" (welcome!), a cool towel to refresh ourselves with, and a delicious glass of hibiscus tea. The check-in process was easy and simple, and they provided porters to carry our luggage (even...

Very happy with our stay. I took my family here for 2 days and it was utterly enjoyable! The manager was fantastic and particularly attentive to our needs as we were travelling with 3 kids. Great pool too!

We attended the Safari with our sons at 20 and 18 years of age they wished they could have stayed at Maramboi for a few more days as they enjoyed the stay and experience so much, i would recommend to stay for more than one night.

Lovely tented camp on beautiful plain overlooking Lake Marynara. Pool is refreshing and there is a feel of luxury, yet maintenance of the wildness of Africa at your doorstep. Dining area is out in the open, the setting has a strong visual appeal and the sleeping tent is romantic and comfortable, but maintains a sense of the exotic.

Loved waking up to the plain of Warthogs/Wildebeests and walking past Zebras on the way to breakfast. The staff is beaming with joy--Maria, our server taught me a bit of Swahali. The workers' joy was infectious. We had a campfire where we met people from all over the world.

Lovely surroundings and lovely people. Everyone was extremely friendly and courteous. The camp was great overlooking the Tanzanian landscape. The tent was very luxurious and comfortable. Stopped at many lodges & this rates very high.
