The Columns Hotel is a charming colonial era shopfront turned hotel and a good amount of the period features have been retained. The room, while not especially steeped in history, was large and comfortable (though there were a few omissions such as a hairdryer). The staff and food served at the hotel were both excellent, and it was nice to...

This is apparently one of the best hotels in Kampot. It is a nice old colonial building, and overall I was satisfied with my stay. But compared to other colonial style hotels, there is something lacking. It is more mid-high range, when a lot of other colonial hotels are luxury. The interiors have not been renovated in an authentic way,...

I stayed at The Columns a few days ago. It was a step up from my previous hotel and I slept brilliantly! The hotel was a series of old shophouses which have been converted. Some of the ceilings (including on the stairs!) are accordingly low but that's an ok price to pay for the interesting and beautifully decorated rooms. Good...

We were very disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel. The hotel is not kept in a colonial style. I`d called it 'eclectic'. The rooms are small and without colonial atmosphere. We stayed in a room with no windows and natural light so it was a bit depressing. Breakfast reasonable and nicely prepared. Staff speaks English and is willing...

After many hours of searching for a place to stay, another booked hotel suggested this one. Excellent staff and breakfast with perfect espresso and lattes! Gorgeous setting, rooms and our room had a balcony. Close to river. Highly recommend.

you can't go wrong with this property... it has charm, atmosphere, great breakfast and a warm, friendly staff that have experience enough to make your stay sans souci-like. one can opt for being a flaneur in Kampot or hire a tuktuk guide... we were able to experience both, the guide arranged through the front desk manager, who by the way...

We have just spent 6 nights at The Columns hotel in Kampot. Cannot fault it in any way. The room was lovely, facing the street (room 3). Wifi and aircon both worked very well. Breakfast was good, with eggs cooked to order. The staff were extremely helpful and were always around with a welcoming smile. The hotel is very central,...

We had a three nights stay at the Columns. Our room with balcony wasnt big (sloping roof), but we had enough space for the two of us and our luggage. The room was very clean and the (easy style) balcony got sun almost the whole day. The people working here are more than friendly. Attentive and helpful people in a...

Great setting in a well renovated building, in a calm street. Family run, one feels at home at once. Lovely artwork, excellent breakfast and staff ready to help and advise. A very good option in Kampot.
