We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely room in the main house which was light and spacious with a large balcony overlooking the river, we also had an adjacent seating area which also had a balcony at the front of the house and overlooking the river. As others have said the food is excellent, we stayed on a...

Pamba Heritage Villa was to Indian home stays what the best boutique hotels offer us in North America and Europe. We felt we have discovered a new category of the best Indian lodging in the future. Our 110 year old converted granary heritage rooms were 4*. Rajeev's personal hospitality accompanying us on walks though the local village, in arranging a...

The food was unbelievable here and there was a lot of it. The hotel is nice and quiet but unless you're willing to hang out in a hammock, there wasn't much to do. We took a boat ride along the backwaters to kill time. The room was too dark for reading, but had some history. The owner was nice but...

Thanks for the review. From the name and profile I could not recognise the guest. But I think he misunderstood our Homestay as a hotel. When we have guests in our Homestay we always think they do visit us to get to know about our culture history etc. And we can make out how much you would like involve in...

This was the perfect place to stay if you want to learn about how the real Kerala ticks. The host, Rajeev, is a wonderful source of local knowledge and could not have been more helpful. The accommodation is authentic and the location, on the banks of the Keralan backwaters ,was absolutely wonderful.Rajeev's mother is a brilliant traditional cook and I can't...

We stayed for a week from 16 Feb 2017. We had a wonderful time, very peaceful, great food, really beautiful and interesting location. Rajeev is a genial and engaging host. We loved the walk to the ferry and the journey into Alleppey (Byriani at Kream Korner is a must!). 4 stars not 5 because 1) the houseboaters which docked there...

The room was dark with reading lamps useless for reading. Only way to brighten the room up was to use the bare fluorescent light on the wall opposite the bed, which is just ugly. The food was fantastic, the beds were comfortable. Tricky to find in a cab. Very quiet and nice view of the houseboats right in front of...

Our stay at the Pamba Heritage Villa was exceptional. It provides a quiet, scenic, relaxed atmosphere where you can watch river traffic, birds, and riverside activities and walk to local villages. The owner, Rajeev, gave us a lot of attention and asked for our preferences in food and activities. He explained the local cuisine and how it was prepared. His...

I stayed here for the second time. For me it's like a paradise. On this place you can find peace. So I stayed for ten days. The garden at the pamba is beautiful and the meals are delicious and of high quality. Rajeev and his mother are wonderful hosts and the staff is very attentive. Definitly I will come back...

Spent 5 nights at this heritage villa during Feb 2017. However, there is some noise from boats travelling on the river especially during the mornings. Food is good. The room in the new house has better views (has a balcony) and more up to date facilities. The older accommodation is attractive but needs updating. I believe the owner will have...

We loved our stay at Pamba Heritage. Our room was traditional, just what we want when travelling to new lands. The location, on the banks of the backwaters was just to die for, laying in the hammocks watching the boats go by....... We walked the banks of the canal into the local shopping area, chatted to the local people, just...
