Interesting after re-reading the reviews- several people commented about the lackluster or worse reception they received upon arrival. I agree. My travel companion thought maybe the woman didn't speak much English, but as I pointed out, you don't need any language to smile. This woman was not about that. Our rooms were next door to each other, which was nice.... More

There was nothing available on the menu : My partner and I both asked for dishes that were unavailable (fair enough) but we asked for every single dishes of the menu and the waiter kept saying "sorry not available" until we finally asked "what's available?" and he barely knew the answer. I would have prefered if he had told us... More

This is the second time we stayed in Amed. But the first time stayed in Barong Bungalow. Before, we stayed in another bungalow with good views and very helpful staff. But, Barong also with good views and nice room. We booked 3 rooms with 3 couples. Our room was above. So, we had to pass through many staircases. But the... More

Price of the room cheap, nice swimming pool with a lot of sun almost all long day. However : the wi fi didn't work all the time, the breakfast is not served at your room as stated, the extra activities or services the staff propose are expensive and difficult to negotiate. Staff more or less welcoming. Location : you need... More

This place has a very nice view of the sea, especially the rooms at the top, the sun rises directly in front of the room. But it will have to go through many steps of stairs. Comfortable rooms, but employees are not helpful enough. We ordered food at the bottom, but we have to bring their own upstairs. and also... More

Booked two weeks before arrival and asked specifically the room number 4, as suggested by numerous trippers, as the most beautiful, and with the best view. The booking was confirmed, and the room was reconfirmed ten days before our arrival. This is a budget hotel and the expectations were not the ones of a five star hotel: nevertheless the location... Hotel on all ok but if you have any mobility problems this is not for you. We had 120 steps to our room all of different grades which made it difficult to use. Pool was nice but a lot of sun chairs damaged and unusable. One thing I didn't like was our room was out the back of hotel and... More

Well I had to climb 66 steps to get to my room which wasn't so bad but my friends had to climb an extra 40 very steep steps and then down another 20 or so out the back so no view for them,I had a view of the garden and a bit of the pool rooms were nice except for... More

Oh my god!!! This place has the most amazing view of the ocean I have ever seen in my life. The pool was amazing. You could see the ocean when you were swimming, and it didn’t matter if other people were in the pool because it was so big. This place was so cheap, includes breakfast, and has a luxury... More
