So accommodating. Very kid-friendly (traveling with 2 under 5). Yoga was delightful. Locals on beach always asking if want massage/tour etc, but were very receptive to polite "no thanks" if not interested. Food in restaurant was awesome and healthy. Felt like a little oasis. Very relaxing stay!

This is an absolutely wonderful boutique hotel to stay at. The grounds are beautiful, the villas clean and well appointed, and the staff is excellent. Since it is a boutique hotel the number of individual villas is limited so book early and enjoy the peace and quiet of the grounds. We ate every day in the restaurant and never left...

We stayed here for one night before getting a boat across to the Gilis the next day. It was a bit of a way through Amed (not as far as we thought) and not very well signposted, but upon arrival we were so glad we'd booked to stay here and had no complaints. Everything was so pretty about this quaint...

The beach in front... Well there is actually no beach to speak of. The tiny dirty black beach is taken up by hundreds of boats most of the time. It's located in the poor fishing village. Poverty right outside. As soon as you step into the beach, the aggressive guys will try to sell you the snorkelling trips, which is...

Thank you for your review and it looks like you enjoyed all aspects of your stay, our staff, our rooms and our delicious food in our restaurant and maybe even a yoga class :) I will use this space so future visitors can have a better idea of our beach and activities here. Our beach is a mix of white...

As its name implies, this splendid little place is right in the centre of village life. Cottages line fragrant planting based on John Peel's 'Perfumed Garden' with a pool and access right onto the boat-filled beach. Fortunately food is good, as there aren't any alternatives within a reasonably short walk, but if you have transport, you have plenty of choices....

My partner and I stayed at Life in Amed whilst visiting Amed and we fell in love with this gorgeous boutique hotel. It's perfectly located on a beach with lush gardens, delicious food and welcoming staff. The cottage was clean, comfortable and peaceful. Loved our stay and would recommend to any travellers heading to Amed.

We have been there for the second time and simply love Life in Amed. Small boutique hotel, very well maintained, great restaurant. Perfect place to wind down - if you are looking for party - don't come.

There are many things about this hotel that make you want to go back. Our villa was beautiful and looked onto the beach and the fishing village. It was so interesting to observe the morning activity of the fishing boats, and to interact with the friendly people that lived next door. The hotel staff were lovely and went out of...

We had been going pretty budget friendly until we decided to stay here. Definitely the most we spent on lodging during our time in Bali, but SO worth it. We stay with another couple in the bigger house which was located right on the beach. My husband and our friend went out early one morning on the traditional sailing/fishing boats....

After coming to Bali many times and experiencing the hectic pace of the areas surrounding Denpasar, we were ready for something else. Life in Amed was just the place we longed for. The accommodations were most comfortable, even the bed was most pleasant. The food was so enjoyable that we only went once to eat and actually wished we could...
