Just stayed 3 nights in Amankila, and similar to its sister hotel Amandusa, the service, attention to detail, friendliness and welcoming attitude from all levels of the management and their team is unbeatable . Great villas with good views and plenty of space, superb food and service, and the willingness to bring you into nearby villages or ports is beyond...

I had not been to Amankila for a few years, but found it to be better than ever when we visited last November. We arrived from the Legian in Seminyak, which is a nice place surrounded by some cool restaurants, but simply cannot compare to the stunning views, peace and tranquility of Amankila. This is remote Bali at its most...

We have stayed here a number of times, and seen the resort change slightly over the years. The new manager, Ernst Luddick, made us feel as welcome as we had always felt at our "home" in east Bali, as did his spectacular staff (many of whom have been there since it opened 25 years ago). The spa services were excellent,...

It's been our 6th or 7th stay at Amankila since 2000, and it has been again the calming, energizing, welcoming and inspiring experience that it was when we visited the first time. What makes it so special for us is how everybody goes the extra mile to make us feel at home, and we think that this is a genuine...

We had visited Amangiri a few months prior to Amankila and loved the experience. We were looking forward to staying at another Aman hotel. Sadly, we did not find the magic that other reviews promised. Rooms are average, strangely small and lack privacy as they are surrounded by stairs used by guests and staff. Grounds are fine, but nothing special,...

We stayed at Amankila for 8 nights in May/June 16. Excellent everything. Can't really fault it It was a reassuringly expensive trip with quality and service to match so all in all, good value Sandra was lovely. Genuinely lovely. I believe she has moved on now to a new hotel opening in SE Asia One thing I really liked was...

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were so well looked after. Our villa was a bit of a hike, 36, but that afforded us a great view. The food was lovely as were the accommodations, but it was the fun things we did from the resort that made our stay very memorable. The morning snorkel...

After staying at Amanusa, we spent the final days of our Bali vacation at Amankila. Like all Aman resorts, the grounds are beautiful, food is excellent, service is top notch, etc. The resort is more modern than Amanusa but the villas could use an update. The black sand beach is secluded with serene views of the ocean. Highly recommend the...

This place was the grand finale of my honeymoon. We were at Amankila for 4 nights in a private suite with ocean view and I loved every single moment of it. When we went in May, the main pool area was never too crowded so we felt like we rented out the whole place! The suites are very Bali-ish and...

Very dated facilities and need some upgrades in rooms such as toilet, AC unit and wifi. The service level is on par with other Aman hotels but the facility is over 20 years old and not been updated. Location is very beautiful/well maintained and secluded from public. About 90 minutes, without traffic, away from the airport and busy part of...
