The resort is old with few amenities. There is little space for fun. The shower room is not convenient. For example, there is no space for placing fresh clothes. The shuttle service to the downtown is limited. The food doesn’t match the price.
This resort is great, the views are amazing, the feel is superb and you feel so relaxed staying here but as a big resort, they should try to have more things to do at the resort besides cycling(which isnt easy coz there are many steep...More
Alila has the most beautiful view of trees and nature. Being in the infinity pool overlooking the forest is peaceful. The staff are above amazing, very helpful. I loved the hypnosis with Lydia (indigo 7 sanctuary) as she resolved all my childhood issues and I...More

Family visited this hotel and room (with outside shower) was lovely.
Outside area and infinity pool were the selling point of the hotel. Be careful if staying with children as the main restaurant doesn’t really cater for youngish children on an evening (at least not...More
Stayed here for 4 nights recently, enjoyed the same impeccable and warm services from the staff. The pool was sensational and the breakfast at the restaurant continued to surprise us. Loved the brilliant selection of healthy juices, I am detox-ed! 😅More

I have stayed at Alila Ubud 3 times and never had a problem getting a sun lounger. There are more sun loungers overlooking the breath taking valley on a slightly lower level. There are also large bean bags you can lie on outside the bar as well as chairs and tables. The pool attendants are fantastically helpful too always ready with fresh towels and iced water.
We always arrange an airport pick up from the hotel from memory I think it was 50 USD but do email the hotel directly to check they are extremely helpful. We have found the service reliable and reassuring late at night last time we arrived at 23.45.
Hope this helps
