wonderful location, great room, great staff. The wifi worked, the pool was great and the food was good. Don't listen to the whingeing reviews unless you really want a plastic identikit hotel in a touristy location. Because Ubud Hanging Gardens is a rustic, beautiful one-off place where you can get away from the trashy resorts and instead explore authentic local...

At the end of our trip to Bali we review the different properties we stayed in and we are happy that we kept the best for last. What beautiful property! What did we like: The room - large, spotless, dark sliding doors for sleeping in Nature - monkeys and jungle, gorgeous river at the bottom of the property\ Service -...

I have been going back to Ubud for 2 years now, and had the pleasure of experiencing some outstanding hotels, both affordable eco-properties and luxury high-end hotels. Hanging Garden's was a destination I was looking forward to but I left with no intention of returning. Being managed by the Orient-Express I would have expected more. I agree with previous posts,...

the location of this resort is superb. breath-taking and mind-blowing moutain view and fresh air. however, the infrastructure of the hotel is a bit old and definately needs renovation. the bath tub in my villa has serious problems so the water goes very slowly down. you can also see some crack in the bath tubs and some furnitures. the villa...

This place is beautiful - absolutely stunning. Damn expensive, but if you're looking to impress someone special this will do the trick. For me, this is 4.5 out of 5 with just a couple of small things that could be changed to make it pretty much perfect. (1) The TV in my room was quite old, poor picture quality. They...

Really nice resort, their signature pool was the highlight of the property. Great service from all staff. They pre-packed some club sandwiches for us in the room when they know we were checking in late at night...very thoughtful...Breakfast was very tasty....rooms are well-kept and clean...will highly recommend!

What a beautiful hotel! Our family stayed for 3 nights and were welcomed by the general manager on arrival. We quickly were escorted to our rooms which were next to each other, each with private pool and the exquisite views over the valley. It was late afternoon so we all decided to explore the are. We went all the way...

After reading a few negative comments during our stay in Jimbaran, we were concerned that maybe we made the wrong choice by booking this hotel - we were pleasantly surprised and so happy that we stayed here, just wish we did not have to leave there this morning. The hotel has spectacular views, but this all guests agree on. We...

We loved this property, from the minute we arrived until we left 4 days later, we felt pampered and well taken care of. We were amazed to see how each member of staff remembered our names and even our preferences of drinks at mealtimes. The rooms are well maintained and have amazing views. We spent most of the time at...

The resort itself is fantastic. We had a bungalow at the top with a private plunge pool. As others have said, it's a distance from Ubud but we never had trouble getting a shuttle. We were only there three nights and between visiting Ubud and another day seeing the island, we wished we had more time to explore the resort...
