I when here to see the real snow not playing ski. This place is easy to visit with public transport just use Metro from Seoul City centre and stop at Baekyangri Station 2 stop from Gapyeong Station (Nami Island station). Visit Elysian Gangchon before or after you visit Namiseon Island.

The hotel has its own ski field which is next to the door, also had a place for people who can't ski to play snow slate but the resort doesn't have a place for elderly people to play with the snow. If you want to take a picture with the snow you just got a background of the ski field.

Over 1 hour trip from seoul. Cheap rates and easy slope. Make sure you arrive 10am and check the snowfall for good ski weather. Bring lots of sunblock and shades. You can rent the gear and the clothes fron the resort. 70kwon budget.

It's not only can be reach by train (alight at Baegyang-ri Station of Gyeongchun Line), it also near to Nami Island. It cost only 2,450 won one-way. If you get some time to spend after visiting Nami Island, why not try skiing/snowboarding or even sledding here. The cost of rental fees of skiing equipment, lift and ski-wear are affordable and... We spent the whole day skiing at Elysian. Pro : 1) Can be access by train from Seoul, about 1.5 hours. 2) Easy reach by car, 1-2 hours depending on traffic. 3) The slopes are good for practice runs. Not too difficult. 4) Not crowded on a weekday. Con : 1) Not many runs. 2) Snow is mainly "man-made". By... More

We went to Elysian as we go nearly every year for the skiing! This time the hotel was just as good as ever! The ski resort was great although the snow was just about all artificial, making it difficult to make snowballs and snowmen, but my ski teachers were very talented and helped me learn how to be a pro...
