Not that impressive for the price. Food was good but it had to do go through renovations. Clothes were not clean and there was dust in many places. Garden was maimtained properly and it is in the middle of the town. That helps you to walk around

The rest house is situated in the center of the Nuwareliya town. It's a colonial era building with wooden floor and spacious rooms. Tea and breakfast was good. Has average service. Even they have many staff the guy at the reception had to run for everything. The bathroom was clean, but we had interruption in hot water flow. If you...

The beautifully manicured gardens and grandeur of the exterior building raised my expectations of this hotel that unfortunately weren't wholly met upon stepping into our room. We stayed in a triple room (number 209) which although spacious was very dark even with the dim yellow lights. The bathroom was better than some that I've stayed in but not representative of...

Popped in for a g&t and loved the building so much booked a room. Beautiful building, massive room but tired bathroom. Needs updating. Room was clean though and really comfortable mattress. The staff were superb, especially barman. He arranged our ongoing travel arrangements and even escorted my mate to get a haircut and shave in the town. Amazing service and...

I visited ceybank rest on 08/03/2016. Overall it`s an old building. The garden was full of flowers. The food was good and the customer service was ok. The prices are very cheap when compared with other hotels. The rooms are very big and it has all the facilities like wifi,tv,heaters...etc Overall real value for money

Classic example how originally excellent residence can be destroyed by not taking relevant care of the property. Dirty rooms, dirty carpets, not well kept bathroom. Best time of this hotel is the past. The worst ratio price/performance during our Sri Lanka trip. On the other hand good food, perfect breakfast, however we don't recommend this accommodation.

We were excited to stay in an old Colonial Governors residence. Pulling in, we were impressed by the well kept gardens and beautiful architecture. The rooms were large with high ceilings, and the bedding was clean. Breakfast was extensive and included the usual egg, fruit, and bread, as well as a few curry options. Our main complaints are that the...
