This is an excellent place very near to the main city of Nuwara Eliya. It is well maintained, the staff is excellent (personal butler) - overall it reminds you of a different era. The only hitch is the food service which is very slow (min. 1.5 hours) - though this was our experience throughout Sri Lanka!

We stayed here for a night before getting the stunning train to Ella. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff who greeted and served us food on the evening - two brilliant, welcoming and extremely friendly guys. The room was what you'd expect for the price, basic but very comfortable and perfect for a place to get your head...

This may be a budget bungalow stay, but nothing less in terms of hospitality. The rooms were cosy and the staff willing to go an extra mile. Definitely a place to consider. Though it may be a bit of a climb, it does compensate for the effort put in. Wifi, for those who look forward to it, is strong and...

We (wife and me) reached this place past midnight (12:30 AM) but the staff (Michael and Aloshiya) welcomed us with garlands and hot cup of tea :) Location: This place is around 4 kms from the Nuwara Eliya town center. If you are coming from Kandy side, you can get down before you reach Nuwara Eliya. Landmark: There's an temporary...

Our family was there for B & B basis. Muraly welcome us warmly with fresh flowers and served a warm tea. It was like our own home and we were served well. Its a neat and clean with the colors of Petunia flowers which was really loved. The breakfast was well prepared and served nicely. The only matter we faced...

We had no idea about our booking at Misty Hills. However it lived up to very high standards. Straightaway as we walked through the door a garland was put around our necks as a welcome and complimemtary tea was offered. This is a friendly place to stay with magnificent views of tea plantations and local farming. We were the first...

We travelled from Kandy past stunning scenery. Therefore it was rather a shock to find that access to Misty Hills was up a steep hill via a building site. There is big development going on at the Sanasa Complex. We were upgraded to a house where our meals were brought to us. It was very isolated but the area would...

We loved this place. We did the homestay experience and were treated like royalty from the moment of arrival when we were given a necklace of fresh flowers. Malith is a wonderful host. The meals were superb and taken at the family dining table. Candle light dinner was a nice touch as were the chocolates before bed. Tea and coffee...

Our family of 4 people stayed overnight at Misty. They have 4 bedrooms sharing 1 dining room, 1 living room and 2 bathrooms. So when they have a family or just a couple coming, they will not receive other guests. That's the good thing. And sitting in living room or outside is quite a fancy time. The staff greet you...
