We stayed in this charming, family-owned hotel for only one night and the only regrettable thing about our stay was that we had to leave so soon :) From the moment we arrived until the early hour we had to leave, we were made to feel welcome in every possible way, and with great attention to detail. Upon arrival we...

The owner is very warm and accommodating. The breakfast was really nice. Tea, fruit, eggs, toast, waffles with syrup. The rooms were clean and the shower was hot. The owner arranged a taxi to Colombo for me 12,000 rupees and also a trip to a tea plantation called Pedro. He agreed a reasonable rate with the driver before we left...

Stayed there for two nights and loved every bit of it.. Room was a simple one with colonial style decor and the bathroom was a small one too but all of it was clean and hygienic.. The owner was a very humble and nice person.. Chef had some extra-ordinary talent... never had a better royal omelette in my life.. Views...

Small hotel with a welcoming staff and a caring manager. Food is lovely with good use of local fresh vegetables and a range of ethnic and international dishes. Great location away from the bustle of the town with view of the valley towards west and a view of the lake from some rooms on the east. Walking distance from the...

I only passed through Nuwara Eliya for one night but was enchanted by the anachronistic atmosphere of the town and especially Binota Residency, set slightly up and away from the rather busy main town in the "Guest house area" it has stunning views an old fashioned atmosphere, large rooms and bathroom, very reasonable prices and lovely friendly helpful staff. The...

Great looking house up in the hills overlooking the tea fields. The room was very spacious and clean. In the evening it got a bit chilly. I got some traditional rice and curry for dinner which was exceptional, but my girlfriends steak was well below par.

Our guide stayed here and invited my wife and I and our two friends for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food, and cake, was excellent. Good, typical, Sri Lankan food. So good that rather than visit the Grand Indian we went back for an Indian meal the following evening. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay...

The driver booked our hotel nice welcome but the room was awful. The curtains were closed and we're immediatly ushered out out onto the very tired balcony , the view was stunning. The room was large that was the only good point.Ive seen better curtains in the charity shop, one curtain just covered a huge damp patch on the wall...

This is a well managed small hotel with an attentive and well-trained staff. Buffet breakfast is included in the tariff and free wifi but signal weak in the room, best in public spaces. Our room was neat and tidy, but in need of a refresh and repaint. Dated and tired. We felt for what was offered the hotel was overpriced.

What a shocking experience. This place is DAMP, DINGY and DIRTY with an owner who doesn't care and blames it all on the weather. This place gives Sri Lankan Tourism a very bad name. The food inedible and a place to be avoided at all cost.
