I was late arriving and the owner/host Dimmake, contacted me to check I was Ok, very thoughtful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, very well appointed and warm, great value at this tariff. The terrace room with glass doors onto a grassed terrace, gave great views of the adjacent rolling hills of tea plantations. The WiFi...

But for 2 things, this would have scored 5 - one of which was quite important really! We arrived after a fabulous train journey from Kandy and shown into our rooms - unfortunately it was immediately apparent that the toilet had not been cleaned properly, if at all! I mentioned to the person looking after the place & he immediately...

If I was a young backpacker and this place was 2500 rupees a night I'd love it and probably give it 3 or 4 stars. But this place was 10000 ruppees a night for some blokes dingy smelly, dirty old house that he's made into a b&b and decided to rip tourists off with. The room was so basic I...

I have just returned from a two week trip in Sri Lanka and this still remains the best dinner I had - proper authentic home cooking. My friend and I booked in for a one night stay as we were passing through the tea plantation district in Sri Lanka and this really turned out to be one of the highlights...

Spent 2 nights here , and we enjoyed our stay very much, the owner Damika and his staff are lovely and went out of there way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The rooms, are small but adequate and open on to a grassed terrace, that overlooks the valley. Breakfast and meals are served upstairs in the dining room/lounge...

This spot is perfect for backpackers winding through the beauty that is Nuwara Eliya. We booked online for one night and were immediately contacted by Dammika Bandaranayake whose confirmation e-mail was polite with the promise of great hospitality, and included answers to questions that I had asked in the online booking form. In the event that we had a driver...

It is definitely the place in Sri Lanka that we stayed in. Nuwata Eliya was part of our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and the stuff made us feel special... They welcomed us giving us flowers; they deocrated our room, prepared special cake for us. Moreover... the view from our room was breathtaking! The food was great - actually we were...

Everything is perfect - extremely cosy cottage with stunning mountain views, staff ready to do everything for you, great food for reasonable prices - I cant even imagine something wrong with this place. Ask for a heater - it's pretty cold outside :) The only drawback is pretty slow WiFi but who cares.

The hotel is situated on suburb of Nuwara Eliya with a wonderful view on the biggest mountain of Sri Lanka. Our room had a nice terrace, so you could admire the view on mountains or tea treas. But on the other hand, it is not possible to walk from a downtown, you have to take a tuk tuk (300 Rs.)....

We stayed here for 3 nights and found all of the staff to be extremely kind, welcoming and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were excellent- fresh fruit, eggs cooked any way you liked, as much toast as you could eat, tea or coffee and home made jams. Yummy! Yes, it's quite a stride into town but it's...
