My husband and I stayed the night at this hotel which was recommended by our tour and loved being wined and dinned. The bedrooms are dated but you feel like your staying in a country manor house. If you dont mind that sort of place, the history is very fascinating and as you have read we found it very amusing...

We choose to have formal dining & borrowed a jacket & tie for the dining room, lovely food & serice. Rooms were old but very clean & comfortable a hot water bottle was put in your bed in the...

Was slightly disappointed as it was not as posh as the history suggested . The building was well keep resembling the early UK taste. Dinner at the casual restaurant (no need Suite & tie) was not too bad , room is a bit small.... Service still have a wee bit to go ...

We stayed here for two nights and it was definitely not worth the price. It was really sad to see this previously beautiful place so worn down, too many waiters in the restaurant trying to find something to do and the worst food ever. The room was dirty, like the rest of the place. Don't go!

If you enjoy living history with a few modern mod cons this is the place for you. The staff members were delightful; welcoming, helpful and efficient. The grounds are spacious and a source of interest to twitchers and botanists alike. Unlike other tizzied up hotels with facades replicating historic establishments the Hill Club presents genuine charm and good service.

The room was spacious and the staff were very accomodating for our requirements. The garden is a gem. The hotel is well situated. It is adjoining the golf course and close to the turf club. The town is an easy walk away.

A blast of Little England circa 1950, complete with photographs of our queen! We were told that we would all be eating here tonight, though after the visit, there was little appetite for it. It was all faded glory; the set menu - a replica of a UK Sunday lunch - was $25US. You had to wear shirt, tie, proper...

Sorry to note that you do not appreciate British Architecture and history...!! What can one eat for Ponds 10 day in UK????? May be a Burger or two. In an exclusive Club...paying 25US$ ( # 10 to 12) is considered very cheap if not reasonable..!! Sorry that you had a bad experiance.

This is a good choice for those who enjoy heritage and tradition. We had a comfortable room overlooking the front garden. The furniture was traditional; it was nice to come back to the room after dinner and find the heater on and a hot water bottles in the beds! Because this is a club, there are several public rooms, so...

We did not stay here but booked in for dinner on my birthday. What a fantastic experience. Benedict looked after us from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. From finding a jacket and tie for my husband to bringing out a birthday cake for me (which we had not ordered), we had a really enjoyable and memorable...
