Having previously visited the Heritance Tea Factory six years ago I had some idea of what to expect. I was not disappointed.

Travellers wishing to visit the tea factory are advised not to make their journey direct from Colombo airport since, while the distance is not excessive,

Lovely hotel with lots of history. Great to visit with stunning views.

However, we couldn’t stay more than one night though. The downside to it being a lovely old building is the amount of noise that travels. The cleaning teams start cleaning out rooms from 6am and due to the th

This is an erstwhile tea factory turned boutique hotel. The service and hospitality is outstanding. The location is amazing, and you see tea plantations as far as the eye can see when you wake up in the morning. Do spend some time exploring the building as most of the original fi

We stayed here for 1 night and whilst the dinner was nice and room clean, it was nothing special. Considering it is a tea factory they didn't provide free tea in lobby or bar so we had to pay 400 rupees for a tea which was odd! Dinner is also very expensive as are drinks.

On a tour of Sri Lanka we were booked in here for one night.
It's a fair way from anywhere, I.e. 5 1/2 hrs from Colombo
It is up in the hills as the tea needs altitude to grow and the higher up the better quality the tea.

Hi there, Just enquiring regarding the tea plucking experience for tomorrow (7th October 2018). Are these tours running and how much per adult? We are not staying at the Heritance Hotel. I have emailed the hotel but have not received a response. Kind regards, Natalie
Hi- we booked through the hotel for this as the location and museum are part of the hotel. It is well worth doing though. Difficult to remember how much it was but it was not much I assure you. Ray

Hello Good Morning In this hotel is near any Pure veg Indian restaurant or market. This Resort good for family with two children. Can you give me advice. Thanks
There is an indian restaurant in Nuwara Eliya because our guide took us there before we went to the hotel. However, the hotel is far from the town but as others have said the food in the hotel is varied and has many curries (Sri Lankan) which will be vegetarian. The hotel does have a small playground for children and you can walk safely around the hotel along the road.

What time to the tea picking experiences run and do you need to book them please? We are staying for 1 night as part of our honeymoon and would like to try this experience so need to know whether to get there early the night we stay or leave late the following day. Thanks in advance
Hi, Staying a little longer on the next would be a good idea. They usually start the tea picking sessions in the morning. I suggest you to inform the hotel staff at the point of checking in. They are very helpful!
