Bill Hirsch, the owner of this bed and breakfast, understands what it means to welcome people to a home that is, in the quality of its historic architecture and the distinction of its serenely furnished rooms, a place of grace and comfort. Add to the ambiance, the pleasures of his home-cooked breakfasts - which may include Bill's own tomatoes, apple...

Any time we visit Chillicothe, we will stay here for sure! The breakfast is amazing, the accommodations are very comfortable and you will want for nothing. If you lack anything, just ask. Check-in time is between 4-6PM, but construction kept us until 9PM. Bill (the proprietor) phoned us when we missed the check-in time and gave us instructions for late...

We were traveling across OH and estimated what time we would stop for the night. We called last minute, around 2:30 and Bill indicated he could accommodate us. The house was huge, with four rooms with private bathrooms. It is located within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. Everything was immaculate and clean, the room was comfortable, there was...

Bill is the "absolute" host....very knowledgeable about the history of Chillicothe and surrounding areas. He is flexible and aims to please despite a last minute reservation. The "Green" room was simply and tastefully decorated. Very clean and the Queen bed very comfortable - hubby and I sank into the linens! The breakfast was not only delicious but elegantly served in...

What a lovely experience. The house is a gem of a restoration with tastefully appointments throughout. And that's for starters. We enjoyed our stay in the green room - excellent bed and shower. We walked through the lovely garden and sat on the second floor porch as well as the sun room. We wanted to experience as many of the...

After an internet search, I booked a room at the last minute the night before, called them on the phone at around 9.30PM apologizing for the late call. We had no idea what kind of town Chillicothe was, it was just halfway on our two day trip from DC to Indiana. Turned out this is a wonderful town with tons...

Taking Route 50 from Washington DC to Texas and stopped here before visiting the various mounds in the area. We stayed in the President's suite which was wonderful. Bed was so comfortable we almost missed 9 am breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic and we had a wonderful visit with owner. Wish we could have stayed longer. The home has been restored...

Great place even if you don't like Nixon. Owner has a passion for history and good service. Formal breakfast was delicious. Other guests all had a story to tell. If you play the piano, you will enjoy the masterpiece that sits in the front room. Even though we didn't play it, one of the other guests shared his passion and...
