We loved this hotel. The room was very clean and unique in style. The location was great. Would love to stay there on a Wisconsin football game day! Staff was friendly and courteous. We had drinks and appetizers in the bar/restaurant and that was great too.
I stay at HotelRed every time I am in town for work. I love how they are pet friendly and I can travel with my dog. I also enjoy the outdoor balcony off of the rooms that face Camp Randall -- especially nice in the warmer months!
Hotel was great and different! Highly recommend hotel. Just skip the restaurant. I ordered the Wise Burger and it was very red and bloody. Service was terrible as well and there was only one other couple eating. :(
This was an absolutely delightful hotel! I would recommend it to anyone who is tired of the same room in every city they visit. It was located in an area that permitted us to explore without having to get into our car, close to the things we wanted to see.
I was booked here by my office at the last minute when most everything else was unavailable, but I generally had a good experience. The taxi driver warned me that I was staying on the "adolescent" side of town, meaning, I guess, that it was practically within the university camp…
"We were on the third floor and it was very quiet."
"Noise can echo in the hotel due to the concrete floors. Some rooms face street and inconsiderate guests could cause noise problems."
"Rooms facing the Field House are better"
"Get a suite with a stadium-facing patio if you're in town for a game!"
"Make sure you get a room with a soaking tub. It is work it!"
