We got there at night after a long drive and being able to chill in the thermals right away was worth the whole trip. If you're looking for luxury and over-manicured landscapes this might not be your cup of tea, but for nature lovers it's a dream. Had some reasonably priced yummy juices which u can charge to the room....

Dark felty rooms, a/c licking water under bed, bugs, cracked tile in bathroom, the shower is just 3 tinny threads of water that you cant regulate temperature. Sheets stinks. It is a place for truckers. Caquero!

This hotel is a short drive from Volcan Arenal, nearl La Fortuna. The property is lovely, rooms were clean. Delicious breakfast is included, staff are very friendly, safe parking, private grounds, amazing hot springs, terrific sports bar (with hot tubs!).

The grounds were lovely, the people were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very good. However, this place is about an hour away from La Fortuna, which was a $60 cab ride each way. (Our travel agent misled us about this fact.) The springs are nice, but they're about a mile away. The staff will happily drive you...

This was our second trip to Termales del Bosque. The area around the springs is lush & green & very hilly. The hot springs themselves are in a natural setting under the trees & made of stone. It's much more economical that the other, more advertised, hot spring resorts. We took a horseback ride, $10 apiece, for an hour, which was one...

This place is in need of repair. No hot water in the bathroom sink. Show trickled, Rooms not clean. Food was good, buffet style. We were members of a Tour group and have no idea if they had saved all of the bad rooms for us or not. I would not stay there again.

We visited this place back in summer of 2008 and it was a spectacular experience. The moment we went down the trail into the forest leading to the hot springs, a chorus of seemingly hundreds of birds overwhelmed the air. What a tropical welcome! Then the trail winds through and along a beautiful stream at the same time descending lower...

What a great experience to visit a hot springs under the jungle canopy, opportunity to have a massage at a great price which included breakfast and dinner. The hot springs were natural stone pools beside the river each one a little cooler than the one above it. Drinks were served at a small pool side area or in the swim...

The thermal springs are very nice: Quiet area, nice surroundings, changing area, towels. The room itself was mediocre -- mattresses were hard and not mattress cover; pillows were lumpy, only an overhead lamp (one wall lamp was in the room but there wasn't a bulb). The shower did not have hot water except for the first 2 seconds. There was...

We spent three days at this location, arriving late Friday and departing on Monday. We were the only people at the lodge when we left - people come for the weekend. When we arrived we checked our room and quickly found out the A/C did not work and there were no screens on the windows - bugs! The staff worked...
