Don and Harry are incredible hosts. The location was incredible. Thank you. We will be back. Incredible furnishings. We were close to everything. We woke up in the morning to peace or guidance, as we chose. Getting to know the hosts and their guests was a special added bonus.

Great location, lovely accommodations, and super hosts. In walking distance to French Quarter, this B&B is laid back, clean, and expertly-run. You won't get daily maid service, but you will feel right at home. The kitchen is well-equipped for bfast and snacks any time. The home is filled with charming artwork and nicknacks, sweet dachshunds, and an outdoor porch on...

We had a perfect stay in this B&B. It is in the Marigny area immediately off the French Quarter and very easy to walk there. New Orleans is a city to walk and we did that while there. Frenchman Street is a few blocks from the B&B as well, easy to get there although at night we took a taxi...

We booked for two nights before a cruise. Don and Harry are the most awesome hosts. It is a lived in home with lots of cool furnishings. Very quiet but convenient to Bourbon St. The rooms are small but who goes to NOLA to hang in their room? We def will go back when we can spend more time.

Our first experience of a US B&B, and it was a real experience!! A great 'apartment' room with two separate bedrooms, living room and bathroom so we could share with a friend who was travelling with us. The garden is fantastic and breakfast on the balcony in the winter sun was lovely - although we never actually met our hosts...

If you're looking for the perfect B&B in NOLA, look no further. Home is full of lovely period furnishings, lots of spaces to relax and enjoy and a wonderfully equipped kitchen where warm, delicious home-made treats are always available. You'll wake up in the mornings to the smells of some unknown, but scrumptious offering, like homemade scones. My sister and...

I actually did not read the reviews on Trip Advisor (which is rare) before booking our room. This B&B was recommended by a trusted friend who stays at a lot of B&B's. It was an incredibly successful stay and I would go back anytime I was in New Orleans. The location is GREAT...a block from the French Quarter on a...

This place was nothing short of amazing. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and it could not have been more perfect. The rooms and beds were VERY comfortable, and the house was full of amazing antiques. There was a deck where we spent some time with a few other guests, a hot tub for your use, and a...

There is a lot to like here. You can walk to Frenchman street every night to listen to music. You are also an easy walk to the Quarter plus you are on a quiet street. Rooms are large and spacious. Nice garden in the back to lounge in. Breakfast is standard continental but having a refrigerator at your use is...

This was a beautiful place to stay during our trip in NOLA. Don and Harry were the perfect hosts. All visitors are treated like kings and queens. We felt immediately like part of the family and they really spoiled our little daughter. Don and Harry really like what they're doing and you can see that in the way they manage...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

“The Garden Room is nice and quiet, being it's at ground level and away from the rest of the rooms. Mini-fridge is a nice touch. The bathroom isn't huge, but it isn't tiny, either...perfectly adequate. We'd stay in this room again.”
