Very nice hotel, I loved every minute! They do encourage you to use the same towel but it wasn’t hard to request new ones. The service was awesome, as well as the guest. Minimum noise to where we thought we were the only guest. Use...More

I stayed here for a business meeting. This was my first trip to New Orleans. The rooms are beautiful. Centrally located. The location is within walking distance to many tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
Just few minutes walk from all the French Quarter attractions. The room was nice and clean, quiet and comfortable. We didn't eat in the bar or restaurant but it was popular and always busy. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Hotel is contemporary. Rooms were clean and ample. We initially had cramped room without view. Hotel readily agreed to change room. Hotel has excellent restaurant for dinnerand/or drinks. Hotel does not have good breakfast restaurant but plenty of local places nearby. Very close to French...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Agree, it is confusing. May I recommend you, not to buy the package and decide upfront whether to have breakfast in the hotel or in one of the numerous bars that are located in the neighborhood of the Intercontinental. My preference was the Bievenue Bar & Grill that is just around the corner of the hotel, very nice service and perfect breakfast.
