I stayed at the InterContinental for the last night of my conference trip. Check in was quick, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and elegantly decorated. I finally found the coffeemaker inside the TV bureau (not sitting out), but it was a Keurig with different pod options available. The bathroom had a detached...

We stayed one night with our family of 4 (two young children -3 and 5). The staff was all great, very courteous and very helpful. When we requested extra blankets at 11pm, they were up with them within minutes. We also got some complimentary breakfast passes, so we had a fantastic breakfast at Pete's, located in the hotel. The breakfast...

I'm writing this late but last August I took my granddaughter to New Orleans and stayed two evenings in this lovely hotel. The concierge, George, and manager on duty, Jeffrey Schmidt were so very kind and helpful to us. They could not have been better in helping us plan our time in New Orleans. Our room was very lovely. Thank...

Stayed in hotel while attending convention at convention center. Updates are nice, hotel very comfortable. Good beds, amenities nice, exercise room clean and well lit. No indoor pool or hot tub, would have been nice. The internet was painfully slow and a pain to have to put in passcode each day. Beware that the water bottles on the dresser are...

I recently visited New Orleans for the first time for Mardi Gras. This hotel was beautiful and clean. I had a large corner room and was able to check in as early as 11AM. Because of the festivities, wristbands were required for access to the hotel, which made me feel very safe actually. I ate at the hotel restaurant Pete's...

Extremely hard to figure out how to get in to check in. The valet warned us it would take 20 minutes to retrieve car. The day we left we called down and were told 20-30 minute wait. Instead it was a 45 minute wait. And instead of having us wait in our room the bellman came and got our stuff...

Dear LynnLJM, Thank you very much for the review of our hotel. We appreciate that you took the time to write about your experience. The location of this hotel is ideal, about three block west of Canal Street in the CBD. That means it's quiet and a short three-block walk to the French Quarter, but also close-by to attractions in the CBD and Warehouse District. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
