Attended a conference at the InterContinental New Orleans this week. Nice hotel. Room was well appointed. Only negative was the leftover cans of beer I found in the in-room refrigerator. Was surprised that the staff doesn't clear the refrigerator between guests. The breakfast and lunch buffets were very good with local dishes such as grits variations at breakfast that I'd...

So, a long flight, a rough cab ride, a lack of food & a check in specialist wwho gave me the "are you ok?" Look upon check-in and had no idea about a 30 minute phone call I placed to the hotel the previous day- regarding upgrades, ambassador status, why the trip was so special...nothing. Thank you Jesus the NICEST...

First time in New Orleans and stayed at the Intercontinental. It's centrally located within walking distance to the French Quarter and the Riverfront. The hotel is nicely appointed with two restaurants in the lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were a group of 10 for a girls weekend, they went out of their way to make sure we...

We were in New Orleans for the Giants - Saints game which happened to be Halloween weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. No view to speak of, but made no difference. Check in was easy, very friendly staff. Nice lobby with an excellent bar and restaurant. The food at Ternasse was a little pricey..but was AMAZING..if you stay here...

Our 1st ever trip to New Orleans started with a nightmare. Due to delayed flight and missed connection, we got to our original hotel at around 1 am. We were told by the hotel that our reservation was cancelled due to not showing up on time. It wasnt their fault but the horror was that the hotel, and almost all other...

The Hotel is in a perfect location to get to all the French Quarter attractions. The rooms were well appointed, staff service was impeccable. Despite an issue with booking the Hotel thru the chains reservation system, the management took great care of our party and it was a birthday to remember. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
