I recently stayed at the JW NOLA for a convention I attended. I had a 27th floor room with king size bed. It was clean, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. In-room coffee was good and having a fridge was a bonus. I had dinner one evening in the lobby bar and it was very nice. Has a great...

I travel a lot for work and often stay in a Marriott-chain hotel. This was my first time at a JW Marriott, and I was rather impressed. The amenities (like the shower supplies, bottled water, internet) were nice, but the actual hotel still needs some updating. The main issue with this place, and the hotel makes an apology about it,...

I arrived in the evening by taxi, service begins with the doorman and continues through check in. Everything was smooth and customer oriented throughout my stay. All hotel staff were helpful, the concierge lounge was amazing, and the location central to major city sites. The lounge features an automatic espresso machine with many drink options. I would stay here again...

Perfect location. You can walk to most anything you might want from the hotel- French quarter, Harrah's, shopping centers, restaurants and bars galore, WWII museum. The only negative for me was that the exec lounge was closed all weekend after Friday breakfast. It would be really nice and convenient if at least there was breakfast available on Saturdays and Sundays...

The best thing about this hotel for us was the location. We talked through the French Quarter and were glad to return easily to our hotel. Parking is pricey--$40 for 24 hours, but the valets were efficient. Room service at midnight was 45 minutes but the food was tasty.

Customer service was wonderful, and decor was great, however the hotel certainly did show its age. Most importantly, however, room was clean - no issues, and I am picky! Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
