I would never recommend this hotel. The beds are very uncomfortable. The bathroom had mildew. We were supposed to have a courtyard view but it was of a brick wall and we paid extra for the view. It is in a good location and the staff tried to be helpful. The breakfast is only coffee, fruit and sweet rolls.

3 of stayed at this location at the end of January in a suite. Check in was easy and our bell man was very hospitable. The grounds and courtyard are gorgeous however the rooms are dated. Given the history and age of the hotel this wasn't a deal breaker and we did enjoy location. We requested a pad for the...

Hotel is just a block from Jackson Square and 2 blocks from Bourbon Street. GREAT LOCATION! Rooms were nice, we were on the main floor by to pool and courtyard. Our room had vaulted ceilings and was quite spacious. The continental breakfast in the morning was average (muffins, biscuits, fruit, coffee, etc.)

This hotel is in a great location. You're steps away from Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde in one direction and two blocks away from Bourbon Street in the other. I didn' have too much contact with the staff but they seemed friendly and helpful. The biggest issue was our interior room. This room has no windows so it's completely...

Just got back from 4 days, 3 nights in NO. I have stayed in plenty of hotels in the Quarter and this is by far the most New Orleans, the prettiest and whatever else you want to say. Never have I just wanted to grab a few drinks and go back to the Hotel, we did this 3 different times....

Great location within the French Quarter. Only 2 blocks from Bourbon St. The front desk staff was very personable and accommodating. Checkout was 11am and our flight was not till 4:30 pm and they held our bags till our return and called a taxi to take us to the airport. The hotel is set up in a typical French Quarter...

This old hotel is close to everything in the Vieux Carre. We could walk to the Acme Oyster House, stop at Pat O'Brien's piano bar on the way home and enjoy the lovely weather. There is nothing fancy about it but that is part of the charm...it is old and fits in the the neighborhood. I have stayed here three...

We stayed here one night in July & it was fantastic. We booked on our way into the city with the help of an employee at a Louisiana Welcome Centre. We had a center room (i.e. there were no windows & no balcony), but it was clean & the air conditioner worked (which is a great thing in New Orleans...

Great location in the French Quarter. We walked to everything, didn't use our car the entire weekend. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a "balcony room" facing the street. When reserving a balcony room, I assume it will be a private balcony since it didn't say otherwise. Our balcony was at the end of a hallway that had 4...

This is a nice old hotel, just one and a half blocks from Bourbon St., and half a block to Jackson Square. They do have valet parking and it is reasonably priced. It is quiet on this block so it is a nice getaway from the noise of Bourbon St. Checking into the hotel, we were early so a room...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
