Amazing building, fantastic location, superb service. Right in the middle of the French quarter (but far away enough from the chaos of Bourbon street) it gives an authentic experience in a peaceful setting. Desk staff were super helpful and knowledgable.
This hotel came highly recommended to us by friends who have stayed before. Even though the price seemed high for the b&b-esque photos we saw online, the reviews on trip advisor and some other sites (thesmiths.com, travelandleisure.com) we decided to go for it.

I had to spend more time than planned in my room and the staff went out of their way to help - sending out for food for me when it was raining .
